With some modifications to rules surely cricket at the top level (county) could start again.

Use off field umpires to make decisions via tv.
Non batting batsman not to run and to retire to a safe place.
Fielders to be restricted to zones created in the field.
Greater runs awarded for 4s and 6s to encourage batters to go for shots that reduce the involvement of fielders.
Sanitised balls after each ball.
Social distancing of off field team.
Etc etc etc

At least something like this would get the players playing again and it wouldn't look that bad.
Certainly safer for the players than going into B&M.

And by the way county cricket crowds have practiced social distancing for at least 25 years.
On Sky too.

Sanitising the balls could make it a more interesting spectacle for the general public ...

it certainly raises the ante on hand-washing!

BBC 5 live extra are broadcasting old one day tests.
Good way to escape and think what the world was like before of this virus.
Very enjoyable as background noise.
