Thought behind it is great. Is this being ran by fans or by the club?

I want to know;

1) Is this official by the club if so a very poor choice of picture
2) Who bank account is this going into
3) Why hasnt Pools paid the staff off they let go and why not have a go fund me for that
4) How "far" will the £30k go and who to Sage / Raj pockets
5) Will every penny of the donated funds be accountable or will some "go missing" as in other things like this i have heard about
6) Have you read the terms and conditions of Go Fund me. As this is in breach of them
7) Is it April Fools day?

Based on RJ’s Circa £2m investment, 30k equates to 1.5% of the shares. Where are they going or is it just a gift?

Extracted from out of the blue, it appears to be a gift

The incentives are

We've been inundated with requests from Fans as to how they can help and so spurred on by you we have launched a budget boosting fund to support Dave Challinor as we plan for a post virus challenge on the National League for season 2020/21.

All funds will be directed towards the playing budget and we will regularly promote the achieved total via social media channels.

These are unprecedented times, with unprecedented pressures on the club and we are, as ever humbled by your support.

We join you in our belief that Dave is the man to finally take Pools back where we belong.

Thank you again for your amazing support and a name check to Gary White for his energy in pushing this forward

I have contributed.

And there's more we want to say thank you for your help with rewards available for those who help us:

Prize Draw

Every contributor will be entered into a prize draw where two lucky winners will be selected for a unique Pools experience:

- Starting with a training ground experience in the week leading up to ta selected fixture join Dave Challinor as hediscusses his plans for the weekend and you watch the full training session and preparations as well as meeting the entire squad.

- Then join Dave and the squad as part of the team as we travel to an away fixture on the team coach.

- Enjoy a pre-match meal with the players, the team meeting and a post match de-brief as you travel home with the team

Runners up prizes of signed shirt for 5 runners up, and signed team photo for 10 runners up.

Donate over £50 and benefit from an executive lounge experience for 2, access to the executive lounge on a selected match day with a visit from a member of the squad and post match de-brief from the manager.

Donate over £100 and benefit from a match day invitation to the Chairman's suite as well as a post match visit to the managers office for a drink and post match chat not only that but a chance to join the team for your own photo as you join them for the annual pre season photo shoot.

I'm sure they can, but not on here. You'd be best emailing them direct, or tweeting something.

I think it is now time for the club(Raj Singh) to come completely clean with the financial situation at the club, especially if we, the fans, are to be expected to donate once again.

Does it matter as I live away. However I would gladly donate if I knew it was going to the correct place. Starting with the staff who been let go and not had money owed. Not vanishing into a bottomless pit. I think that’s an ok question to ask before me putting my hand in my pocket.

What’s the problem with the fans wanting to help the club?? If youse don’t want to donate then that’s fine but there’s no reason to fling allegations around and calling people.

Why can’t they answer a very simple question of is this going directly to club bank account and will the people who have donated get a look at how it’s spent?

Also the giving away of raffle tickets so to speak is against go fund me rules. If they can on email or twitter they can here or anyone on the go fund me group. Please PM me

I wasn’t talking about Higgy but staff let go. Can you say they have all had money owed? I don’t want to get into an argument I just want to know money going to the right place. If we need this to keep us afloat and handing over £30k for nothing things have gotten very bad and I think that all supporters have a right to know exactly how it’s spent. And not just going straight to Sage etc

I still haven't received the players home shirt that I sponsored last season , despite sending an e-mail reminder 4 weeks ago, to which I've had no reply. I wouldn't trust this lot to run a piss up in a brewery. My money is staying firmly in my pocket this time around , and that includes not getting a Season Ticket either, sick of the excuses, sick of the false dawns.

Doesn't look like its officially sanctioned by the club , its like the club is allowing certain fans to post on the official club website, all very amateurish. The club is like the Marie Celeste at the moment. No doubt we will be the last club to get back to the new normal.

I was saying thick as mince tounge in cheek as I was saying throwing money away like last time isn’t the answer and want to know where it’s going. As let’s be honest the majority of playing staff and those higher in club earn a lot more than we do. So affectively asking our 3000-4000 fan base to pay for their wages is a bit rich if not know where it’s going. I want to donate in right way that’s all I am saying. Also £30k isn’t a lot to a working football club is it. I welcome people raising money for club and fair play to all involved. I just don’t want people hard earned money in this time to be paying Sage off, exactly like last time.

The Mensa squad are out in force, Gavin John, Spindloe etc, Dawson copying stuff from here and putting it fB page, loves a drama does Tim.
Just be careful what you post as it will end up on there.

I would suggest the staff being furloughed is the reason you haven`t had your shirt, better than previous the way it has been ran.

As I have said numerous times before, as long as the club is badly run , any money raised will be like throwing money into a black hole. A better way of raising cash and keeping it, is for the club to be ran properly , raise money , keep it, add to it, and be sustainable . Of course you need a CEO who is a bit creative and off the cuff to be able to do this. With Raj in charge I cant see this ever happening , for a start , apart from the appointment of Challinor ( which was probably too late ) his recruitment has been abysmal and we all know that is the most important part of any business

Also isnt our chief ex on a six figure salary? Have these high earners took a pay cut like most working people in the country? I just want the club to be open and honest, release an official statement. What is this money for not just a vague description. What does "playing budget" mean? Is this to buy a new player in new year or for a players wages (eg a new one) Becuase £30k isnt a lot for a NL player?

I applaud everyone doing something to raise money for the club and profile. But why is it needed and what is it for?

£30k isnt going to go far really is it especially with the overheads you currently have.
We have raised £80k towards our club so far in the last couple of weeks but at least we know what it is being used for, and even then our playing budget will be dwarfed by a few clubs with rich benefactors.

Heard Maguire was on 50k a year, good money but in comparison to role at similar sized clubs I would imagine its nothing special. The club seem to have no ideas or desire to increase revenue , just passing the buck on to the trust and fans groups to raise money in dribs and drabs. It would be great if the club were run properly and were self sufficient , with this money from the fans on top as a bonus , but all this fund raising , whilst well intentioned , without structure , is just disorganised , un-coordinated , throwing good money after bad IMO

I'll be honest, I don't care much for football at the moment, I'm more worried about the health of my family and my own job/employer. Football clubs at all levels need to mothball themselves, furlough all staff who are under contract and prepare for a long time without significant (attendance at games) income.

Hmmm... the brains squad are reposting, how terrifying.

My view is that the club are a limited company and any investment should be in exchange for shares. To just donate doesn’t work for me. Pools are not a charity they’re a business.

As for Dawson. He talks a lot but never goes to games.

Singh of all people should understand this point. He always wants full say because he puts the most in but if a chunk goes in from elsewhere then shares should be issued. He said recently that “there is nothing to buy” so if that is the case he surely can’t mind if others own 5% of nothing.

I can never get my head around how gullible some people are, especially Hartlepool supporters. I would advise against putting any money in , until we know where the club are headed , and how they intend getting there. To say the club is in a mess is an understatement. You just know this time next year we will be in the same place , no doubt between now and then Challinor will have slung his hook or have been sacked , a mid table finish and another promise that next season really is the one , honest !

If it was to pay for new fridges and pie heaters I would be only too will to support this initiative but it sounds like nothing more than a gesture which may be well meaning.

Singh was playing the same game with us. He was always after people to share the burden but wanted overall control. He had Gary Pallister as a figurehead to try and get this extra investment and it was a flop.
Now he's crying out for extra investment for Pools but won't hand over any control. I can't believe he's put his investment down as loans yet again. Its history repeating yet again.

I don’t think there’s anything sinister about the way he’s structured the funding. I genuinely believe that the whole takeover was something He wanted to do for genuine reasons, not least of all to put right his experience at Darlo.

Nevertheless, I do maintain the ultimately Pools in its current form is unsustainable and the day will come when we’re a part time community run club.

P.J. Poolie won’t like that. He doesn’t like the fan run model.

That’s fine. I don’t remember any discussion defending into abuse on the subject or the same statement being repeated ten times a day.

I’ve donated, no issue donating the price of a ticket to potentially help the club. I don’t feel like I need anything in return, hopefully the money does help in some way, maybe it won’t and will be lost. No big deal, if someone wants to donate fine...if someone doesn’t, also fine. No real need to call anyone gullible or any other name that may be chosen. Donate if you’d like to. Don’t if you wouldn’t. I support anything that I think may help the club, may it be this or the trust fund. Just get behind what you want to get behind. I don’t see any real benefit to criticising anything that’s overall intention is to help the club.

not going to knock your action if you think its fine. everyone to their own. what always gets me though with things like donations is that if plenty do donate its just another way to split the fanbase even more. always though that pools should have dropped united from their full name. united it isn,t.

It really needs to be more specific like funding a part time Media Manager or specific ground improvements for example.

To be fair I did read that this is specifically for player costs.

Yes its probably the biggest budget line for the club and would only contribute is a small way to it. Used for something specific and tangible might have been a better pitch. (see what i did there)

In these trying times Pools deserve a bit of help and I for one am happy if it comes from any group so let's get behind this fund rasing and also the Trust who are doing a good job.

A perfectly reasonable position Mr 27. I think for the odd bit of money being chipped in it’s fine to enter a raffle or whatever, I was thinking more of large sums being invested which should come with an exchange of shares.
