Sounds like this is going to get a bit messy.

He sounded bitter when I listened to this. If he is owed money though he should've been paid by now.

If hes entitled to the money as a pay off, and has been waiting since october then you can probs understand him being miffed.

Singh was his mate too which probably makes it worse from his point of view.

If Singh is his mate , and he has only heard from him once in 6 months I think he said, then sounds like there is more to this than meets the eye, of course there always is at Pools , always acrimony of some sort when someone leaves in a hurry.

Must admit Raj and Maguire are both going down in my estimation as time goes on.

Singh is entiteled to hire and fire who he wants but he should have the guts to speak to the fella face to face.

Yup, id expect that from any boss even if there was an issue between them but Singh made out they were best mates.

You're talking about the man who stopped paying players he thought were on too much and only paying part wages to others, even before he put a club in administration. True colours always come to the fore eventually, this issue with Hignett does not surprise me one bit.

You’ve got to ask what equipment a manager can have. I guess a car and laptop can come to a few quid but it doesn’t take many weeks to sort that out.

Come on this is a regular occurrence in football when managers are sacked right from the top to the bottom. I’m not saying it’s right it’s just something that happens regularly.

I used to think it was sour grapes with you, and to some extent it might be, but we're seeing things creep in when the pressure is on and I'm not liking it.

Me too but prepared to see what they come up with in the short-medium term. I guess we don't have any choice in that.

To be fair these are challenging circumstances, and many clubs do indeed look fucked if something doesn't change very soon. How are Southend and Macclesfield doing now? I heard they were already in a bad way a few months back.

I do dislike the man for his underhand ways. Thats how he has operated in the past and people rarely change.

Covid19 wasn't even heard of when Hignett was sacked. To be fair to Singh the problems in care homes and property development at the moment will be hitting him hard, however this should have been put to bed long ago.

Yeah. All I'm saying though is if they wouldn't pay him earlier he doesn't have much of a chance now.

So if he takes legal action then the club will be in deep s**t. Covid won't make the debt go away just to ease the pressure on Singh.

He has sacked Hignett and Mark Simpson but continues to employ Maguire and lets him run the club.
That in itself should sound alarm bells.

Maguire thinks he is an island, unfortunately it has no utilities!

By the way, Singh also did the same to Mark Cooper when he sacked him at Darlo. Cooper had to take action to get his money but by then we were in administration and the supporters paid it off as one of the football debts we inherited from the mess Singh left behind.

Who would you keep on in your company a media manager, an unsuccessful football manager or the person you employed to organise all of the contracts, incoming funds and outgoing payments?

I think the problem with Pools is Singh himself , but he was the only person in the queue wanting to save the club , so ….

It doesn't surprise me either! Singh will drag this out as long as possible hoping something will happen, hoping that Hignett will run out of steam, hoping that someone else will pay or that he will be gone by the time the shit hits the fan.

I don't understand why he gets involved in football - he's not cut out for it (Singh not Hignett)

On the fans meeting thingy last week singh said he is committed to investing in the playing side and not letting that slip.
