Whilst any compensation is to be welcomed , is this 60k getting paid to relatives of NHS workers who have died from COVID-19 not just an admission of guilt by this incompetent government that they cocked up big style by not acting accordingly in those first 3 weeks?. Is this not just blood money to buy the silence of relatives who would stand to gain much more in compensation by taking this through the courts . its BLOOD MONEY and the figure of 60k is a derisory figure to compensate for the loss of a loved one, its an insult.

What's that equate to, 2 or 3 times salary for far too many of them. I'm sure the military get 3 or 4 times salary and most of them are fighting for their OWN country.

No amount of money will be enough but like you say it's probably a case of take this and don't sue us.

no amount of money is worth a life. however its better than nothing or a letter. not a fan of this government but i have not heard of anyone on here suggesting a payment for those who have died.. do not put the boot in for everything, they,ve given us other ammo to do it.

The main thing wrong with this planet is we give people medals for ending lives and those contempt for working around the clock to save them.
