This is going to be a very tight finish with at least 13 clubs looking for the 7 promotion/playoff spots. That's taking the current table down to Barnet. There are a lot of points that have to be dropped from matches between the top 13.

Barrow 10 remaining with 7 against top 13 teams
Harrogate 10 remaining with 8 against top 13 teams
Halifax 11 remaining with 5 against top 13 teams
Yeovil 10 remaining with 5 against top 13 teams
Boreham Wood 10 remaining with 2 against top 13 teams
Notts Co 11 remaining with 5 against top 13 teams
Solihull 9 remaining with 3 against top 13 teams
Hartlepool 9 remaining with 2 against top 13 teams
Stockport 9 remaining with 5 against top 13 teams
Dover 10 remaining with 4 against top 13 teams
Woking 10 remaining with 6 against top 13 teams
Bromley 9 remaining with 3 against top 13 teams
Barnet 13 remaining with 7 against top 13 teams

Obviously teams at the bottom are fighting for survival and will not be easy games, but this is within our control.

The top 2 have difficult run ins and the table could even further compress.

Brilliant stuff, cant beat some good stats :)

Imagine were gonna need at least 2 more away wins, hopefully the Solihull game is the monkey off our back (whatever that means)

Hopefully Barnet struggle with regard to fitness etc having to squeeze them games in.

Was it you who used to update a projected points total thing on here with loads of stats etc? Was always a decent read.

If I was Challinor id be half tempted to see if any of those teams not in the top 13 who have a fair few of the top 13 still to play need any loan players such as Anderson, Richardson (maybe not if Hales out), Kerr, Bale & Raynes (if fit?) or any other squad players.

Obviously with a recall clause but if they help them take any points off anyone around us then happy days whilst also getting them some minutes under their belts/back to fitness etc.

Would have thought be a few takers for Raynes/Kerr if close to come backs.

The Football Web Pages website does a predicted final table. See :-

Scroll down and you can see the predicted scores in the remaining matches.

It wasn't me I'm afraid, too complicated for an IT illiterate!

I should add the Harrogate and Notts County also have to play their 2 legged Trophy semi-final over this period, so more pressure games for both

It might have been Mr Hexham with his bookies' odds approach but I think the person in question was probably Montpoolier with the magic promotion number.
After extending the idea to the concept of a magic survival number, which ended in relegation, I believe that person gave up.

Well i think we should be cheering Harrogate and Barrow on tbh. Hopefullynoth finish strongly till the 46th game is played.

if only it was as easy as that. there are upsets every week in this league but its hard to predict which game it will be. pools have yet to hammer someone at home by a big score yet which most sides do at least once in a season.

Of the remaining 9 matches, I'm up tomorrow for Ebbsfleet. Then a local game (for me) at Sutton. End of the month away at Fylde (taking some friends along). Final home match at the end of April. That's 12 points in the bag for sure ;)
