Just what I said on a previous post. Big clubs sign players from all over the world and play them almost immediately. Is it our administration ?

Apart from the top two or three teams it just shows the standard of Scottish football.

How would it possibly have anything to do with our administration? I’m pretty sure it’s as simple as players moving to higher divisions are fast tracked or pay to quicken things up. Lower down the ladder the form drops into the same pile as everyone else as I think this is process that even has to be completed for park football.

Has everyone seen Morpeth Town Star Liam Nobles Tweet by the way In reaction to this? If not it reads “good news for Pools he wouldn’t get in my under tens team” One it’s interesting that he coaches players with superior mental age to him and two I reckon the best news this season was removing him from our dressing room. I have on good authority that I fair chunk of our squad thought he was a massive bell end and was a main reason last seasons captain headed North. Even if he didn’t like Kabamba it’s such a childish embarrassing thing to do. Kabamba did a decent job for Pools and owes us nothing. He can leave with his head held higher than Liam Noble.

I agree with most of what PJ says above re: Noble BUT there is another side to the coin. It's the managers job to keep the whole dressing room happy and if you have a player who's not as professional as the rest but is a key player, it's the managers job to manage that situation.

Cantona at Leeds slipped Chapmsn's missus a length (so the story goes) so Wilko said one had to go which is why Cantona left for Man Ure for such a small sum (£1m).

Lee Sharpe said the squad was out on a shirt and tie do and Sharpe was told in no uncertain terms by Ferguson to dress appropriately or he'd be in the shit....only for Cantona to rock up in some kind of pumps and cut off trousers arrangement and Ferguson goes up to him all smiles and handshakes.

In Neil Warnock's autobiography he tells the tale about Adel Taraabt (at QPR I think) and how completely unreliable he was, late to training, didn't turn up to training etc but Warnock to a certain extent let him crack on. Captain Clint Hill went to see Warnock to have it out with him about Taraabt but Warnock just said to him, 'look, he'll get us promoted, let's just put up with it' or words to that effect.

Obviously I aren't saying Noble was the same as Cantona and Taraabt but he was influential on the pitch in his early days with us. It's only latterly that his onfield performances turned largely to shit which I reckon must've had something to do with dressing room problems? I don't know, I am guessing but would make sense so that makes it FACT obviously :)

I would hazard a guess that the registration form is in a pile on Maguires desk underneath the 'announce catering improvements'!

Should try and poach Adam Marriot from Kings Lynn, has 25 goals this season and is a Durham lad. Although I doubt we could afford him.

Liam Noble has plenty of form for causing unrest. At several clubs.

Kabamba was one of those players you could never see becoming a star at Pools. Like pretty much every player at this level. Best of luck to him.

Funny that because his record was quite a lot better for Pools 14 goals in 36 starts a goal roughly every two and half games compared to 5 in 25 for Havant which is one in five.

You are obviously a regular at Havant and are basing your comments on his all round game.

To be quite honest the vast majority of fans ‘ who have seen him play’ will not be unhappy at him leaving. I dare bet he would not have been retained at the end of the season and to get some sort of money for him is good business.

I agree it’s a good deal for both parties but at the same time he did a job for us especially last season scoring some important goals, and as Pools strikers go his record is decent.

One goal in every two and a half games is a decent return. He could finish well.

Especially compared to no one.

Bit of a surprise. No doubt the goals will start flowing for him now!

Administration? That is daft, obviously higher pay for him and a small fee for us.

International clearance is presumably that Keena is from the Republic of Ireland and needs to be given a permit to pass the work regulations. Whilst Kabambe is British.

Hope he does well.

4:40 in, Kabamba scores off his arse! Looks like he had a lively 25 minute cameo, they were already 4-0 up when he come on like.

Good shout Paulus on Marriott from Kings Lynn, another I’d look at is Jason Gilchrist at South Shields whose playing at far too a lower level, 13 goals in 23 games. Plenty of decent players playing our level or lower would jump at the chance of full time football another’s Jordan Holme at Altrincham 14 goals in 32 games. Hopefully we’ve got enough in Keana and Toure once they get sorted.

We should have tried getting cal roberts from blyth who has been on fire this season, but hes just signed for notts county. There are a lot of good players in the league below and Marriott would be a good shout if we could afford him.

I read the Chronicle her and there and know Lee Clark thought he’d be lucky to keep hold of Callum Roberts for much longer, I wonder if he was one of the two or three signings we’ve missed out on? In Blyths’case without Roberts goals they’d be adrift at the foot of the National League North by quite some way, mind you they’ve still got the threat of a Scott Fenwick (lol). Once again though the appeal of full time football is there for players looking to start or reignite their careers, that we can offer at the minute anyway.

Whilst I wouldn’t discount local league players let’s be honest we’ve tried many over the years with very little success. Then of course making it worthwhile financially by giving up a job which together with his part time football wage is probably more than Pools pay. Let’s remember Muir was playing the same standard as Blyth when we signed him and sadly just hasn’t made it.

Muir was at hendon who are playing at a lower level than blyth. There are plenty good players looking to get back into a professional club. A lot of players make the step up from national league north and south and do well.

I’m not sure we need another wide player/someone who plays off a striker when we have Luke Molyneux returning to full fitness, you almost forget that he was probably our most eye catching summer signing most said at the end of last season we had no chance of getting him permanently. He could be like a new signing in the run in. We also have Toure, Holohan Hawkes and Donaldson that play in those forward positions. What we need is another Centre Forward. We only really have Keena who’s a young lad finding his feet and you guess the manager has decided Muir is not for him.

Seems likely to me that Kabamba went to free a wage for Keena, maybe it would have been Muir who went if somebody had wanted him. Challinor obviously sees something in Keena that fits with his preferred style of play or he thinks he will develop into a better player. I quite liked Kabamba, although I've seen him much less often than others on here, but I'm still pleased to see the manager getting a player he views as an improvement while getting somebody he feels he can manage without off the pay-roll.

I don’t think that’s the case Challinor said that the interest in Kabamba came totally out of the blue and we’d already signed Keena over a week before it. Plus he’s spoken about actively seeking a replacement straight away. I just think an offer came along that suited both parties.

I've always liked Kabamba, seemed an honest guy who was just desperate to be a pro footballer. But he never seemed to be a game changer or a massive threat. Perhaps at this level that type of player is few and far between. Toure is a threat, but it seems his inconsistency that has been a big part of his career has now arrived at Hartlepool.

thought challinor would have brought a few lads in from the area he was from, the north west. salford seem to have had a winters sale with both tom walker and danny lloyd allowed to leave. one left for fylde and the other a season loan at stockport. both could have been good signings for pools.

Yes, I expected him to bring at least one or two from Flyde, he built that team over a number of years so must rate many of their squad.

Fair play, I doubt he imagined last Wednesday that within 10 days he'd be facing Celtic in a competitive league game.
