Gave probably the worst display by a midfielder in a Pools shirt since the home defeat by Blyth Spartans on the FA cup a few years ago. Utterly useless yet he will be the first name on the team sheet for the next game. Well done, Dave!

I think he had his work cut out against that midfield to be fair they had pace and real ability and it’s fair to say second half we were chasing shadows especially in midfield, I doubt anyone in the National League is scoring Oxfords second goal for example. But our bread and butter sadly these days is sadly not arguably the best team in League One a bit of perspective is required at times. Annoying but true.

It showed us how far off the level we once were in that second half though. The manager addressed that at full time I would expect more energy in our midfield next season. Anyone even beginning to critiscise another manager is an idiot.

It wasn`t as bad as Mafuta who is off the pace and looks like carrying extra xmas poundage.

To be honest I was never a fan of Featherstone but this season I thought he was playing quite well. I was not at Oxford so cannot say anything however why he is first on the team sheet maybe because there is no one better.

Might be as he been out the team and he been brought back in vs a vastly superior team.

He has been our most reliable and consistent player for years.....really don't understand this thread and he still performs.

He really hasn't. But even if he had it's hardly praise given hows shit Pools have been during those years.
This season I'll admit he's comfortably been our most consistent player and has looked a much better player under Challinor. Also, to single him out for a one off cup game against really good opposition is hardly constructive. I don't think anyone played particularly well nor did anyone really embarass themselves.

Has 2 to 3 decent games then media/fans forget he's been a failure in a failure team ever since coming to the Vic.
Not sure how many players r out of contract in June. but history/results proves that keeping players on pay cuts to stay doesn't work.
I'm sure DC will end this shite and recruit properly in the summer after releasing the deadwood.
Anyway time for one of them magic mushroom Broad bean omelette.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of his but several different Pools managers have all rated him highly enough to make him virtually an ever present. Very different styles of play and management and they've all played him.

its because he does not run round luke a headless chicken and does not make stupid challenges where he,d be lucky to get away with just a yellow card. only time i have criticised him was when he was played with noble in midfield. that must have been the slowest mid field partnership above the sunday league.
