Just read Williams still out this time with hamstring injury. Sorry but I’m getting a little bit sick of the whole episode with him. It’s not as if we owe him anything for being a good servant to the club
Yes we all know that he has ability way above our standard and I really feel for him. It was a gamble to sign him and I’m afraid that it’s not coming off. I doubt if we see him this year, it’s his second season and he has yet to start a game. Obviously Scunthorpe saw the light when they released him.
It would appear that he is one of those players whose body is not up to full time football.
My Xmas wish is for him to prove me wrong.

To be fair nobody has had a fit Luke Williams on their Christmas list before. Not this year anyway.

I know he is here for the season but all I am saying it’s getting annoying. You have to ask who gave him a contract for two years with his fitness record.

Imagine it's even more annoying for him.

Cant imagine he is on mega bucks with his injury record, if we had got him fit it would probably guaranteed playoffs at a minimum. Gamble looks like it failed, no major harm done.

No one give him a contract for 2 years.

He got 1 year.

Then signed a new one.

Calm down.

Currently THE only thing to moan about. Are we reliant on a fit Like Williams? No. So why bitch about his misfortune?

If he does get fit it’s a bonus. If not we have lost nothing as we have low expectations anyway.

exactly. doubt anyone expected him starting every game this season even bofore the season started. think those of us that have played have picked up a few hamstring injuries over the years.

Of course everyone who has played has had injuries but he is just one after another as I said Scunthorpe saw the light and got rid. I really feel for him but it would appear he does not have physicality to play full time football.
Let’s be honest if you employed someone and they went on the sick for two years and you were paying their wages I doubt you be happy. As far as his wages are concerned nobody knows what he is on they are just guessing and hoping he is on low money

He isn't 'on the sick' in the sense of any other job is he? He turns up as required, trains as and when he can, and has undergone rehabilitation programmes and even operations as suggested by the club. If he'd just sent in a sick note and then sat on the sofa eating kebabs and knocking back lager we'd have every right to criticise him. As it is he's done everything asked of him and all we can really say is that the gamble on him regaining full fitness hasn't paid off. That's probably sadder for him than anybody else.

Of course he’s sick as a parrot but so am I reading every week he’s two weeks off being fit then sorry he’s picked up another injury. I don’t remember Luke George getting sympathy last season. He was another with a terrible injury record and I remember Chester fans warning us of this.

Luke George was shit and would have added nothing to the team, we all know Williams will so he is worth waiting for especially if he's not on a lot of money.

So I don’t believe he’s injured every week the news paper is making it up. And who knows what wages he’s on and just how long do we wait it’s been nearly 2yrs since he played a game.
Don’t get me wrong I would love to see him back but I think we are grasping at straws.

Look, I think we get your point. So repeating it won’t change anything. So what say we leave it at that and suck it and see.

He's one of the other lot from the space comma board so they do get repetitive.

Challoner - Luke Williams is a fair auld way from fitness - surprise, surprise.
Nice bloke, lovely footballer, but obviously is not up to the demands of professional football.
Gamble that has failed miserably.

It's a gamble that didn't pay off, the majority of us have moved on. If Williams ever gets fit it will be a bonus.

Slightly more worrying is the other Like, howay man, urry up marra.

I'm sure these posts about Williams are timed to coincide with the regular ones in the Daily Express about extreme weather.

We miss him because there is absolutely nobody else. One goal in half a season would probably struggled to reach last seasons five.
No doubting his work rate but he is a striker.

*dull as ditchwater*

He’s scored 4 this season.

Plus they all came fairly recently, I reckon he was a key part in how Chaillinor wants us to play and he’d get the out best of him. It’s a real blow for the team and the player himself as he’s was showing real signs of getting somewhere near his best playing with confidence and the in the right areas of the pitch.

Yeah but he doesn’t score 25 a season so the PS brigade can’t see past that

I think everyone knows William's was a gamble that didnt pay off, not sure why it needs repeating each week?

Feel really sorry for the lad, must be heartbreaking.

Fingers crossed next season we offer for him to use our facilities and train with us if he so wants.
