It must be awful to be so upset at the result of two democratic votes and to be so upset by one man it really hurts you.
You still have not answered my question about Boris winning two elections to be mayor of London.
The mans a winner he’s won every election he’s taken part in.

When he was mayor of London he was painted almost like a comedy character, Boris bikes, zip wires, spunking tens of millions on a bridge that never got built...

None of that makes him the a creditable person fit to be Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The two roles are not even approaching a similar level of importance.

We always have a national debt just think of what it would be if labour had got the chance to put their manifesto in. Oh and what about when the cons. Got in with the famous note that the cupboard was bare and austerity was brought in because of it.

Yes we have but it's gone up under the tories. You would know this if you read this thread or googled it. And that note is like an urban legend. It was meant as a joke. But of course 10 years on the tories still use as the excuse for their own uselessness

Well I’m sure you will be glad to know I am finished on this post. What I don’t know is how this government will work out. What I do know is a left wing labour government will never get in. The public are not that daft.
Wishing you a merry Xmas and I hope the turkey doesn’t stick in your throat at the thought of five years of Boris.

For balance, I don’t hate him. I think he will turn out to be a great prime Minister and serve as PM for three terms.

It’s happened again at Spurs today, Gary Neville again making some very valid points relating to the general election and the return of this behaviour in our Football stadiums and wider society.

Incredibly the host stepped in as well saying that his views weren’t those of Sky Sports.

Yeah you stop telling the truth about this serious issue.

Stolen from Twitter but very prevalent “we need to weed these racists from Football and hand pick them for high public office where it’s seemingly less frowned upon”

I’d definitely weed out the racists. The Football racist fans, the far right and Diane Abbott.

Boris is not racist, it’s leftie clap trap based on a selective excerpt from an article about women being allowed to dress how they wanted to.

I think the racist language he’s used that’s in the public domain extends beyond his crassly ignorant article about the Burka.

Plus whether he’s actually racist or not isn’t the issue or the problem, the far right are endorsing him as the man to get behind. He’s the racists choice.

This election was like choosing between shit or shite.

When it comes to politics I am somewhere to the left of the middle without any loyalty or allegiance to any party. Neither of these choices were anywhere near what our country needs right now.

Nonsense. This country needs brexit getting over the line ASAP. Yes I know there are further negotiations but getting the withdrawal agreement into law is the hold up for the country and business. Boris was the only one with a clear plan.

He is anything but right wing, that’s bollox. More nonsense from the left. Boris has been consistently right of centre through this career. His track record proves this and all the bandwagon jumping in the world doesn’t change that.

It matters not anyway because for all your and the lefts crying, the country chose him and he has a massive majority to get on with it.

He probably isn’t far right but the far right are undoubtably attaching themselves to him. He’s pretty much happy to take the position that suits him best. He is not a creditable person. He only became a leave backer weeks before the referendum, the whole charade was about his position in the party not what is best for the country and it still is. He face after the result spoke volumes as did his distance in the aftermath.

I’m not crying the popcorn is out with a clear conscience and I don’t even live in the UK.

Get Brexit done!!!!

Tell me a business, other than that idiot that owns Wetherspoons that wanted Brexit? There isnt any. Not one major busness thought it was a good idea. The fact of the matter is you are right in that all of these businesses now need brexit doing, but doing in a way that minimises disruption. Dont be deluded enough to say you dont think there will be disruption as there is going to be. Even if its only for staff members that are foreign.

There is already disruption and upset and worry. So tell me why do you seem so excited by brexit? What is it about it that makes you think its so great? And why cant you nor any MP admit that you know 99% of the population will be at least slightly worse off when it happens? You arent an MP. Why cant you be honest?

I have read a hell of a lot from business leaders and they are more or less in accord. Yes they need it sorting but all of them wish it had never happened. Mr Wetherspoon apart, and lets face it there will be massive paries in his establishments for a short while as most of the brexit lovers are regulars there. They might not be for long afterwards though when they all find out they will have less cash to spend there.

Answer me this honestly of you dare. Why do you think the biggest proportion of brexit fans come from backgrounds least affected by the EU, but from areas that will suffer the most afterwards?

Got to give it to Johnson: he's taken opportunism to the next level, even exceeded the trumpster on that score.

Mr Afar, I was tempted to respond and include people like John Bamford (JCB), Steve Dawdle and a host of others but the reality is all of them want Brexit done and even with those who lean towards remain, a definitive leave decision is a lot better than the stalemate of the past few years.

It’s a non question anyway because the remainders lost the referendum and lost the election so it’s time for them to pipe down, suck it up and accept it.

So you wont or can't answer my questions then?

And none of them were "leaning" towards remain. There was no such stance until the referendum. Its not remainers that lost the referendum. Its the UK. And like I said and you refused to refute it, most people that voted to leave have absolutely no idea what they are about to lose. Its all just about taking back control.

So strong rumours that Nigel Farage is about to be knighted. Sir Nigel Farage. You stand down half your candidates from your racist party and we’ll look after you dear boy. Absolutely incredible. Staggering almost. How is this legal?

What the actual fuck!!? The country is turning into a sewer. It’s absolutely brazen. The funniest part is a lot of the Brexit lovers saw the vote as them rallying AGAINST the establishment

[quote="phil"]Boris Johnson is basically Jeremy Clarkson. He says whatever people want to hear, makes the obvious joke and acts like a twat even though he (probably) isn't. The reality is both of them are liked by racists because they present themselves as a no-nonsense, anti-pc, common sense character. To do that though, they say things that are offensive and racist then laugh at "lefties" and "Guardian readers."

agree with that phil. it isn,t just racists though that they appeal to. for me they are seen as different to the majority of others who say the same things over and over again. they look the same, sound the same whereas clarkson and boris have a personality that is different wether you like em or not.

Boris says what everyone wants to hear? Hang on, who was it offering sack loads of free stuff if they got into power? Who was it offering a second referendum that (as we are to believe) most of the country now wanted. I think you'll find that despite a lot of people finding that appealing, they could could not bring themselves to put Corbyn et al into power. You know what? They were quite right.

Added to that Mr Imp, If Boris and Farage are everything these "experts" say they are it doesn't put Corbyn et al in a very good light.
Totally and utterly annihilated and humiliated by a bunch of cretins.
They got just about everything wrong it was possible to get wrong and still they're bleating. BAAAAAAAAA.
If it is possible to accredit one man with the saving of the country from a fate worse than death then no accolade is big enough for this man.
And I don't care if they make him St Jeremy of Islington, or St John of Moscow or St Boris of Bullshit or St Nigel of Europe or even Mother Diane of wherever you like.
Communism has been bulldozed out of Britain and that has to be celebrated with joyous shouts from every rooftop of every building in the land.
God save the Queen and a Merry Christmas to us all and I am just about to go through the door to start the celebrations.

Actually, Mr I, it's probably time for those who were promised Europe for 40 years by tories and labour, alike, only to be shit on in the space of 5 minutes by a handful of opportunists, not to suck it up but to fuck off for good. I hope you yourself and all the hey let's leavers would honestly be happy to do that.

So whose footy team do î support now? (not that the UK ever had one like).

We've had a vote which was a straight for or against and people who voted for the losing side have whinged about it for three and a half years.
We've just had a general election, under the rules we've used for donkeys years. and the whinging goes on.
We can all punch holes in our voting systems, which is fine by me but until the country votes to change it we're stuck with it and even then it won't stop the whingers.
It's getting tedious now. The election is over. The people have decided what they want and we're now stuck with it for at least five years, probably more.
Anybody who wants to change all that has to open their eyes to the options available to them, if they are serious about getting rid of the tories, which i sometimes doubt.
Let's get away from all this point scoring activity and concentrate on solving the real problem which is making the labour party electable.
Or you can carry on whinging and beating yourselves silly over tory policies and tory grandees and these tory grandees will carry on effecting their agendas.
It's a straight choice really.
