I want us to progress in the competition obviously but it feels like we don’t have game today almost.

It should start earlier in the season and be midweek like The Football League equivalent. It seems a nonsense that a lot of our closer away games that we would take big followings to are midweek yet this which sees very low crowds takes place on a Saturday.

Against a team we were poor against last season that treats away supporters like animals in a slaughterhouse (at least that's what a friend told me, he said he gone through some airports quicker than he got in their ground).

Let's hope they don't do another situation like they did against Portsmouth where people were stuck outside for hours.

never been even though its quite near to me. no intention of doing so either after what my lad described it like when stockport played there a few years ago. video fans going in, biggest search he had ever had and that included a birmingham v villa game. thats after evenyually finding somewhere to park half a hours walk away.

it does start earlier in the season its just that pools have entered it after 3 or 4 previous rounds. needs a re vamp now. when first started back in the 60,s it was a top competition for part time non league clubs with a chance of getting to wembley for the first and maybe only time. now with promotion to the league its lost its importance especially with fans of ex league clubs whose only real interest is getting back there and the trophy is just seen as a day without a game and if they lose then so what.

Surely it still is. It's one of the very few opportunities for the likes of us to see the inside of Wembley unless we go to an England game. Lets face it, the only time Pools players go to Europe is when Germany invades Poland.

wonder how many teams changed their side for yesterdays game and change it back again for next saturday. doubt many fans of beaten clubs are going to have sleepless nights about being knocked out. been to wembley and for me it was not a patch on the millenium stadium ground or experiance.

At least Dover lost as well yesterday so hopefully that will mean our league game against them will be rearranged for January 11th rather than for a Tuesday night.

So you're saying we won't make the play off final this season after all? :(
