Dimi playing for us :)

Says signed on non contract terms and he also signed up for Marske Sunday League side. Wonder if Challinor wants him get his match sharpness back with a view to signing?

That's a bit unprofessional, did he get a large salad and only pay for a medium?

I had wondered about his whereabouts too, then he appeared on the bench at Exeter. Perhaps he's had family matters to deal with ?

I wonder what the thinking behind Dimi’s signing is?

I’m pleased as I’d have signed in the summer but I wonder if it’s just cover in case of injury on a pay as you play basis or we are having serious thoughts about playing him regularly or at least he’s competing to be first choice. The manager must be looking at how bad the goals we are conceding are. The two on Sunday again were awful the first defensively the second was a very suspect piece of goalkeeping. The header was from miles out and didn’t have much power he surely could have caught it? At least put it round the post, over the bar or punch it clear anything but what he did! Tighten up even a bit and we’re winning a lot more games. Too many soft goals so far this season and it’s costing us.

Agree totally, I cant see us getting much higher if we dont stop the soft goals and there has been too many especially from Killips point of view since Challinor came in.

Does the fact Catterick and Young are both out on loan mean they couldnt play in this game last night? If so then there he may have been our only option?

Never played in goal then?

We don`t have a cover keeper, so none contract seems the right decision, he trains and keeps fit, win/win.

He went back to Huddersfield because he was injured, prior to that he was out for family matters.

Fully expecting Dimi between the sticks at Woking.

10 clean sheets in last 23 league games should ensure a play off spot given how good we look going forward.

Cracking signing by the way.

After Killip was lauded (rightly so) for an outrageous triple save on Sunday, you expect an experienced manager to drop him for a 41 year old signed on non contract terms?

Without being harsh, the first save was decent but the second and third really just hit him. You have to be in the right place at the right time etc but didn't see anything outrageous about it other than the third effort was an outrageous missed chance by the striker.

I would be very surprised if Dimi was in goal at Woking but he really does need to cut out the errors I don’t Challinor will put up with it for too long. A lot of the goals we concede are so poor.

Goalies train very hard to save, recover and be ready to stop the next shot and he did that superbly not once but twice; even if the attackers kicked it straight towards the low middle of the goal. I disagree with the 'just hit him' bit.

I think it would do no harm for Killip to have some competition, and short/medium term I do see Dimi getting some first team action, but not Saturday. Perhaps Harrogate in the Trophy as a first game.

Killip is very agile and so he should be he is young and that is the problem i have with him far to inexperienced.
Every time the ball goes in our box he does not command the area and thus we concede alot of goals.
I think in time he may be a good keeper how ever we do not have the time and for me at the moment putting an experienced keeper in goal i believe is not only the right move it is essential.

I would love to see him back.

This league sees a lot of high balls into the box, which Dimi would deal with all day long. It is our achilles heel at the moment.

If Kerr could read the game it would make the keepers job a lot easier, he has up to 18 men in front of him at corners and often dont see the ball until the last second.
I can't see Killip losing his place unless injury or a major PJ is dropped.

I attended last night and was very impressed with the young no.2 for Pools', according to the team sheet called Shepherd, he was a constant threat, taking on opponents all game and dribbling rings around the Tow Law defence. Good prospect. Grey was decent too, and the lad Webster.
