I Can't wait for Sunday to come round to test us against the level we will be playing next season

I fancy a draw and a replay. If we play like Tuesday night!

I'd be happier if Kioso was playing. Good thing that Richardson got a bit of game time on Tuesday.

Gut feeling we will fall a bit short given the opposition and without our best defender.

1-2

Exeter's recent form is the polar opposite to ours, single goal games, single goal results, they won't know what's hit them. We've got to score surely.

Too big , strong and organised Exeter.
James shown as too week at that level, the opposition to fit compared to what we play against e each week. Our central defence too slow. Featherstone too fat, Killip too short, Toure, you never know wht you are going to get. Kitchen great going forward no end product can't defend Donaldson anonymous. Williams always injured. Kioso seeing stars. Bring back Noble.

Exeter nil - Pools 3 approx'.

You guys may be right and it did cross my mind but Donaldson plays there as a wing back and not a full back.
On top of that you play Donaldson in Kioso's place, you then have to play someone in Donaldson's place and so on.
I'm looking for disruption limitation but I hear what you say.
If he plays 352 then I'm with you, with Cunningham in the back three.

I wonder if Cunningham can play right back? better playing a defender there than a midfielder or winger etc. In fact could he play left back?

at least i will not be in a bad mood if pools get beaten. just no interest in the competition which has now just become a cash cow for lower league clubs. anyone who knows pools know that if they beat exeter they aint going to draw someone exciting for a big pay day.

No can't make this one mb. Was pissed when I constructed that prediction to be fair. It's a pretty rate occurrence, honestly, despite what the evidence may portray.

I can understand the negative comments about Richardson, looking at his performances last season, but I thought he looked a different player at the start of the season.

I agree, i saw all but one pre-season game and he did look good, but once in too league games i just think he shows nothing, lacks positional sense, weak in the tackle, weak in the challenge, can put a good ball over like but i'm afraid thats it for me.

So did I.
But we will see.
I'm prepared to see what Challinor reckons. He seems to be able to recognise where players strengths lie, so I'll wait and see.
DC had the confidence to put him in against Chesterfield so the lad is being given the opportunity to impress, so I'm prepared to give the lad a chance. It might be his last chance but DC is the manager and I'm not.

That was then, this is now. I get very nervous when he plays. Another one who looks the part, but...... like fitting a Lamborghini body on a Sherpa van chassis, performance will definitely not match the looks.

Exeter pretty tidy, generally sharper and deserve to be in front. Pools look capable of scoring, but it’s a big ask from here...

World class triple save from Killip (one with his face) and then 60 seconds later Featherstone hits an absolute belter from 25 yards. Game on!

Richardson having a good game by all accounts and hit the post which led to Kabamba scoring, fair play to the lad.

Brilliant display, proper never say die. Beat this lot in the replay and get Newcastle at St James's Park. Ask for 20,000 tickets and show the Geordies some real noise.

A share of luck for a change and a never say die attitude. That's what we've wanted Pools. Away the lads (again). Well done. Its teeing up nicely for Harrogate and Barrow games at Christmas.

Blimey, on the BBC 3 minute highlights Exeter could have had 5 or 6. But what an incredible triple save from Killip to keep it at 2-0, then 60 seconds later we'd scored.
