I forgot to comment on this one, Ebbsfleet is a dour place, open terrace for fans, no segregation, shit atmosphere. Still haven't seen how many Pools fans were there, guesstimate 200/250.

We looked a division above the hosts for the first half and should have been 3 up. A minute into the second half and Holihan misses an easy chance for his hat trick and the three points. We still looked comfortable, then Featherstone got caught out, the home fans woke up and it went downhill from there. Clearly a mental thing as we were well in control of this one but without the 3rd goal the Pools plays seemed to stop looking for it and decide to try and defend the lead they had. Didn't work!

Still, 93 minutes and Jason Kennedys effort is blocked on the line, we actually deserved all three points and despite leaving the ground feeling like we'd lost, overall it was an 8 out of 10 performance. Whilst Challenor would have been frustrated not to get his first win, he must be over the moon with what he's got, if he can smarten them up and bring in some game management, we should stop throwing points away.

So refreshing to see some inventiveness from corners in the first half, I'm really not missing Liam Noble and his inability to clear the first defender!

I'll see how the games against Borehamwood and Chesterfield go, then probably make the trip along the South Coast to Exeter next Sunday.
