I presume it could be expected when he hasnt played for like 2 years or whatever especially when we cant introduce players back slowly into less intense reserve fixtures etc anymore.

Wonder if he'll follow in Parnaby's footsteps and spend so long in the treatment room they'll just think he works there.

I wonder if they've ever tried half hour games (or longer) say once a week, including juniors, with no tackling to help avoid muscular problems arising from lack of match minutes.

Williams would be on the Pat and Mick for two months with a broken i-phone...

Given how naturally talented he is, and how he comes across as a very decent normal lad I would imagine he’s fairly devastated and down himself about his body letting him down and probably costing him a lucrative career as a Championship standard footballer.

It’s frustrating he has another niggle but anyone having a pop at him is a bit a cheb end in my book. Probably Middle Aged and played no sport at any sort of decent level and had no understanding of the mental strength it takes to even try to come back from injuries he’s had.

You think he gives a shit about posts on the Bunker? Imagine if any of us did, we'd all end up having ongoing, childish feuds with other posters and arguing about fecking everything!

I fully agree that Williams is a naturally talented player and but for injuries he would be playing at a far higher level than Pools. However you must draw the line somewhere it’s not like getting over a serious injury it’s just one injury after another.Of course it’s frustrating but his record of playing gives little hope for the future. My heart hopes he can come back and play regularly but my head says cut your losses it’s a gamble that at the moment is not coming off. I would expect him to be one of our highest earners and the fact he has not started a game for probably over two years (including Scunthorpe who obviously saw the light) speaks volumes. In fact he has only played 120 games in his career and I dare saw that there is a large number of them as a substitute.

I do realise he’s here until the end of the season. I’m just looking ahead and I would be delighted to see him turning out week in and out but his history makes this unlikely. I just keep thinking of Parnaby and Luke George and say not again.
