Funniest thing is the bright sparks on social media going mad cos they didnt do a pitch Inspection earlier.

They wanted one doing before it started raining obviously.

Obviously some idiotic comments on social media but given its clear skies now with no rain forecast its a shame they couldn't of given it every chance or even delayed kick off. No blame attached to Yeovil about the timing but think they could of shifted the standing water in the goal mouths in the 90 mins to kick off

Jeff Stelling quoted Anthony Sweeney's comments today, something along the lines of "the lads did everything we asked of them today, they didn't put a foot wrong" :-)

Nice picture of the Pools coach leaving in the sunshine! Sweens wanted the referee to wait 45 minutes before making his decision. Obviously the referee didn't give a toss about fans/players who had traveled so far. Funny its the only game off in the FA cup today with grounds that are quite prone to flooding going ahead. So what's the worst we've played in. The Boydy game versus Wednesday has to be up there plus the game at Torquay 10+years ago when Effion scored the only goal.

What about Chris Turner's last match as Manager, the first time, before he left to take over at Sheff Wed, torrential rain at home to York. The lights went out on a 0-0 bore draw. We blame the power failure on one of our lads wanting his half time pie warming, the lights went out at the same instant as the microwave button was pressed!!

Not as memorable as the Boydy hat trick match though! :-)

Well I'm only 100 mile away, drove through the rain and was 30 minutes away when it was called off. The rain had already stopped in Yeovil with no more forecast. Seems like ref took a decision without much consideration to the opposition. Snowflake springs to mind.

4 hours of my life I won't get back, feel sorry for the guys/girls who spent 7 getting there.

See who we get in round two, if it's a shite draw then send the youth team.

Just got an awful feeling we will draw the winner of Sunderland and Gillingham and you can put your house on Gillingham beating the mackems.

Couple of puddles on the pitch could have been brushed off in the bright sunshine in ten minutes.

I seem to remember the home game against Morecambe in the pisspot cup was a bit damp.

not quite that simple although you,d think it was. you can brush it off, fork it and then more seems to take its place. if the drainage is poor then you have no chance. yeovil do however seem to have more than their fair share of postponed games in the rochdale and accrington class.

It wasn't raining but I suppose if it's below the water table.

The news hasn't mentioned anything about the River Yeo bursting its banks or the Somerset Levels being flooded. It was just a bit of rain. In fact the local south west news has nothing to report on flooding.

They surely could have done something if the rain has stopped though?

The Accrington game yesterday was delayed over an hour because two of officials got injured so if you can do that then why not delay the kick off, I’m sure a 4,5 or even 6 O’Clock kick off would have been preferable to Pools to making the full journey again?

"Yeovil aren’t at fault here as they’ll have to reimburse Pools’ travel costs anyway"

That'll teach them to get the rollers out.

any interest i had in the yeovil game has really gone after the draw. prefer 3 points at ebbs fleet on saturday. rest a few players if they are not that up for it.

Whilst I agree interest has gone a bit its still good money to be made by progressing etc so I doubt were in a position to rest players etc

Be interesting to see Challinors line up, part of me thinks he may chuck Williams in from the start, he looked good last game and I kind of agree with Hignett that match fitness isnt maybe as important to him with how he plays, he seems to just effortlessly glide about. That reminds me i havent watched the highlights yet, I presume that ridiculous ball over the top with his very first touches is on there?

Strangely I fancy us to get a result tonight.

Any idea what happens if it a draw after 90 minutes? Replay/toss coin/have a farting completion on to who goes through.
