I imagine brown envelopes were exchanged between organisers and FIFA.

The issue will be discussed at the next Premier League shareholders' meeting in November.

I loved to be at that meeting, they will be trying to get it postponed or stopped

Why or is it The ‘only stage it were the pious British media approve’ World Cup? It wouldn’t leave Europe if that was the case.

I’m struggling with the ‘balls up’ to honest they have to reorganise the Premier League schedule for one season. As someone who isn’t overly bothered by the Premier League for the World Cup it will actually be good. The top Players will be at prime fitness unlike normally when it comes at the end of a long season.

As a supporter as non league or hopefully lower league club it will be good for attendances as well surely with no Premier League football on.

The organisers wanted to stage it at the normal time and they could have the stadiums are fully air conditioned I went to the Athletics the other week and temperature inside was perfect even though it was 40+ with 70% humidity but that time of year will be much better for spectators away from the actual matches so it’s probably the right decision.

The crowds over the first couple of days weren’t great but the scheduling left a lot to be desired as well the men’s 100 metres final was at 11.30pm on a Saturday night, the working week starts on a Sunday here and it starts early. So that was catering for TV more than the Athletes or locals, plus the sport itself leaves a lot to be desired the bloke who won has a massive cloud over him gone are the days of Usain Bolt.

The stadium was pretty much full for the last week, and the atmosphere was great the night I went. Never believe anything you read in the Daily Mail.

Did they relax the alcohol ban PJ ? It's not unusual for some of the England lads to go on a 2 day bender before a game. How much is it a can again ??

Only someone as thick as you could ask if an alcohol ban has been relaxed (that has never existed) in the same sentence as asking how much a can costs.

I heard a few years ago that the FA like World Cups to be further afield because all of the herberts who embarrass our country stay at home.

Hope this helps.

Being damned with faint praise by you about satirical content is similar to Josef Fritzl suggesting that you are a decent parent.
