Do we keep the same side and subs or give some fringe players a game. Same again for me except maybe start with Holohan in place of?

Just watched Sweeneys interview and I know generally all managers do but he speaks very well indeed.

He does indeed! I really hope he does well and gets us moving in the right direction playing good football and I,m sure he can improve the goals for column by passing on his expertise of knowing where and when to get in the box.

Strongest team available IMO, can earn some decent coin in the FA Cup, need to get as far as possible.

After a while without a clean sheet and conceding soft goal after soft goal then going a game and a half without conceding with the back four defence is the last area of the team I would mess with and unless he’s injured or suspended Raynes is the last player I’d leave out!

Each to their own and all that. 135 minutes not conceding a goal doesn’t make up for 15 games of being not very good. Aldershot could’ve had a handful on Saturday, Brackley have scored quite a few goals lately. I don’t want them being gifted the usual few chances that Raynes gifts opposition teams every week personally.

Ebby Nelson-Addy  We have has so many forgettable players over the last five out six years it makes the calls every summer for a mass cull and remove the old guard all the more humorous.

Wasn’t Ebby in the Jon Sunderland/Nicky Evans envelope of having an impressive debut but then little to nothing else to speak of?

That's the key for me - we have missed loads of opportunities by not attacking the balls into the penalty area, & the second & third goals last week show what's needed

Brackley beat the bottom two teams 8-0 and 4-0, but lost their most recent game 1-0.

Pools should have enough for a 3-1 win
Kabamba, Toure, Featherstone
2815 (75 Brackley)

We were poor yet found a way to win and get a clean sheet so all is good. Toure had a real off game as did Mafuta and Raynes and Kitchin were ran ragged first half. Formation didnt work for me. Great display from Killip yet again.

The better team lost. We were woefully slow getting the ball forward as has been all season when Holohan came on we seemed to get it forward quicker but there,s a lot of work to be done.

Sweeney is very impressive in front of the camera, articulate, honest and sensible would be the words that come to mind. I really like the way he's not been happy with the two performances under him yet we've won the games. The keeper is obviously the real positive as well in recent weeks. The plumb tie this year due to Bury is being last out of the hat, you get the a bye and the prize money for progressing and the players get a weekend off. The only thing like this I ever remember is the 'lucky losers' thing for the Third Round when Manchester United missed out for a season in the FA Cup to play the World Club Championship in Brazil, and the Loids got drawn out and played at Villa Park in the third round having already been knocked out. They are in the first round draw for the first time since going pop, just saying!!!

Wasn’t a great spectacle but we won and are in the draw on Monday.

As I haven’t seen Pools away bar the Stockport game on the telly I thought this was Killip’s best game I’ve seen so far. I have seen Brackley a few times over the past couple of seasons playing Spennymoor and knew they are a decent footballing outfit from the league below us, the difference between the leagues is nothing, this was a potential banana skin but we got through.

Kabamba and Hawkes I thought we’re disappointing especially, since he has joined us permanently Kabambas looked a bit lost and lightweight. Hawkes didn’t offer much in the middle, Holohan doesn’t seem to start, but always does ok when he gets on.

By the way how are Brackley in the National League North!!? We went to a wedding in Newbury while we were back in the summer and we passed the place on the way, I had been driving for quite a while at that point!

Brackley is a very nice place just off the A43. Always pop in to top the car up if driving down to Portsmouth.

Less than getting the bye, with the prize money we'd get as a first round winner

You don't get half the gate the FA take a chunk, Sunderland went out of the cup at the home to Walsall last season in round two in front of a crowd 8,000. Drawing them at home would be more lucrative as it would be on TV.

Either way it makes little difference as I attend as many Darlo games as you.

I tried to answer your question and the second part isn't snide it's a fact. George Reynolds, Butros Butros-Ghali and Terry Nutkins go to the same amount of Darlo games as you.

Gone are the days of big crowds when you draw a League club in the early rounds of the cup, the money is in progression and the cameras turning up.

45% of gate to each club. 10% to FA. Unless they've changed it, the bye means guaranteed £36,000 which is better than 45% of gate receipts if lose as then have 2nd round game and just maybe £54,000 if get to round 3. Then it possibly money making
