Would have gone there but its on the telly so i,ll watch it in the pub!

If we follow up Saturdays performance with the same will to win and effort can,t see us getting anything but a win, but this is Pools banghead

So I,m going with my heart as usual and predict,

Stockport 0 Pools 4 bbolt

Forgot it was on telly. Need to get some beer in!

The winning run will continue with a 1-3. Hard fought first half ending 1-1. Our goal is a bit scrappy, James gets it.

Second half they push forward but we get two on the break through Toure. The BT presenters agree that Pools thoroughly deserve the win and say how much they enjoy matches in the north.

Big game this one, nice win will keep us in touch. Be happy being around 10th going into December, am sure with Molyneaux back and the depth to our squad that we will come good going into the busy Xmas period and towards the end of the season.

Hopefully a nice early goal or two and a comfortable win. 3-0.

To be honest I was surprised to learn Stockport were back in this division. It was they who stopped our storming run in 2005 and made us struggle to get that last play-off place.
But since Jack Ross isn't playing I'll go for the 2003 result with a goal from Gabbiadini and a wonder save from Jim Prov'.

A win could really kick start the season again, the longer we struggle to start one the percentage of games we need to win gets bigger so the sooner the better for me. If you get my drift. sctatchinghead

Stockport 0 - Pools 2. First consecutive win since the start of September.
I'm still smarting about seeing us lose a midweek game there in the 80's and having my expense claim for a pie refused (it was steak). I've got one ready for tomorrow!

They do not score many. lost their last two home games one 4-0. perfect game for pools to kick on but predict another chorley type game and a goaless bore.

that was one of the few times i,ve seen pools win there. had a couple on 6 nil hammerings in the late 70,s. gabbiadini that day had rob jones on his arse a couple of times in the game including the goal.

Only been to Stockport once, in 1992. We won 1-0 courtesy of a Paul Baker goal and I had Lenny Johnrose as man of the match.

I'll settle for 1-0 tonight. A win's the thing and Pools are rarely anywhere near their best on TV.

There are many things you can hire for the night but BT Sport isn't one of them.

I could make a pun about shooting a long one into the box but i'm better than that!

Fuck me, we've looked alright in midfield and even up front but our defending is abysmal.

Wasn’t doing that for either of their goals.

Although I’m sure you still think it’s his fault our defenders have had a mare.

Not once has it happened in the game so far.

Defensively we have been awful. Our Centre halves seem to playing too far away from each other, look at the position Richardson was in for the second. The shape looks all wrong it’s like Kerr and Richardson feel they are having to cover full back positions as well leaving too many gaps.

Next goal is crucial. On the ball we have been ok to a point and could have scored a couple ourselves Donaldson should have scored that first chance. Gime needs to wake up second half he had a bit of a mare in that half.

Yes he has PJ and so far that’s his only contribution

This is as bad a Pools performance I’ve ever seen, though I admit I’m limited to TV
these days

You can't have gone very often in the past either if this as bad as the worst you've ever seen. Apart from some awful defending in the first half we've been decent. Not good but far from really bad.

Haven’t been for a good few years but even when we were really shite there was effort.

This is pathetic

Agreed, 2nd half has been ok with the usual total lack of goal scoring threat. Surprised Kioso went off as he looked our best attacking threat

We can still win this!
(I refer to us losing 4-3 At Mansfield having been 3-1 up at 82 minutes some years back)...

Completely one sided second half. Holohan made a hell of a difference when he came on. He's got to be given a proper run in the side.

Lost it because of the poor defending in the first half but had the better of the second half and came close to getting a draw. Can't fault the spirit or level of effort.

It’s sums up our start need to be better in both boxes, giving away bad goals and not being clinical enough in the final third being the better side in possession doesn’t get you points.

Much better second half and the shape looked better but a very poor result, not good enough.

You have to be honest another poor team has beat us without having to do much answers on a postage stamp.

Something is wrong very wrong, i suppose giving excuses rather than being negative is what we do to feel better.

Apologies for this but I happen to agree with bresslaw. Defending was non-existant and we never really looked comfortable on the ball in midfield. None of the forwards really looked like they could hold on to the ball. 2nd half was much better but Stockport were rubbish yet should have scored at least 4 goals. Holohan looked decent when he came on but I was really unimpressed with most of the others. I liked the way they were trying to play but it didnt look like we have the players of the required quality to pull it off. To have lost more than we have won after 16 games doesnt say a lot positive wise. Sorry.

We have just lost to by far the worst Stockport team ive ever seen, they could of had 4 goals and they had to do very little for it. Only when there fitness dipped did we look like getting anything. The defence is a shambles.
