Pj, I am surprised that you witnessed racism in the CK and would like to hear the full story including what you did about it. Don't admit to chinning him though cos I don't want you in trouble.
Oh, and if we in the CK have got racial abuse down to one incident in four years then I would consider that to be a bit of success as I'm sure you do, especially if the perpetrator still goes in there because if he hasn't done it since that can only be a good thing. Still a bit of room for improvement though.

Thanks for the info.

I mentioned it the other day I did the easiest thing, nothing apart from shook my head, a few shouted him down but nothing came of it. I would like to think now if anything happened people would act differently.

Technically you're right.
I made the post but he concocted it.
Apologies to the house for any misunderstanding cos I agree, I didn't make that clear.
Hope it's clear now.
You should have pointed that out at the time.
I have a retired Bank Manager lives next door, a retired Chief Supt of police on the other side, the coroner lived over the road until he died and has been replaced by a retired engineering bigwig, various other professionals including doctors, a medical consultant, an ex director of AMEC. and so on.I am also a member of the local branch of PROBUS, with a membership of 80 plus. Probus is a club for retired Professionals and Businessmen.
I have tried to convert as many as I can into being passive "Poolies" and most love Jeff Stelling.
Some of them read the bunker and comment of course. i don't post many of their comments but adopt and adapt a few.
It is a good experience and they have some extremely interesting stories to tell, probably including a few embellishments but it is good fun.
We have a pond with ducks but it also has a claim to fame because the late Lord Scarbrough owns the estate we're part of and was a cousin of the Queen and during the war she regularly stayed here and used to feed the ducks. So be careful cos I'm well connected !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All my shit posts (that'll be most of them) were not 'concocted' by me; it was the men in the moon that made me do it.

The dumpster I live in is for paper and card recycling; nice and cosy. The neighbours though leave a lot to be desired; the rats in the food waste bin are a right pain the arse.

My Psychiatrist friend, who is not a neighbour but lives in my attic, set the current experiment.
He advised the post about the neighbours but I definitely wrote it ( for the peace of mind of mr yloop)
He said that I would get at least six who would join in and talk about their neighbours or environment.
I have just told him he was wrong and his reply was that obviously one or two are more intelligent than they appear as they realised the situation.
What does he mean by that.
Anyone got a head shrinker living nearby so we can get a second opinion????

I’ve never made a post on behalf of any of my neighbours. I can’t comment on whether they share my views or not, but they probably do.

Nobody asked you what your neighbours do but you are increasing the number of responders so that is a significant contribution.
My headshrink companion says you should get out more.

I don't think my head shrink companion has ever claimed to be a genius but he says your answer is a perfect example of what he is talking about. He actually said sheepism, whatever that means.
He is a bit weird though but aren't they all.

So I’ve wasted my morning knocking on my neighbours doors asked them what they do?

It’s a shame because the bloke a few doors down is a TV presenter for the midweek football coverage on Bein Sports. He actually composed this post.

Sounds like a lorry crash to me.

Which is obviously worse than a car crash.

A bit like this thread.

I will try and ask my neighbours opinions when I get a chance.

Neighbours are French and still a bit worked up about the monkey incident. The only one who speaks English won't post for me until Boris Johnson surrenders and the monkey's remains are repatriated to France for a full military funeral.

The Athletics World championships is on BBC Two at the minute and the stadium is 5 minutes from our house, so at the minute Steve Cram is technically my neighbour. I might pop over later and see if he’ll type a post for me.
