if you actually organised one there is one thing that you could bet your life on is that you,d get no cover on the national media and be called a racist homophobic and any other names they could think up. in some issues its better to be different but in others you have to follow the party line to fit in. we are in a funny old world.

Straight people have never been oppressed, so there is no reason to encourage people to accept who we are or promote positivity in our community. If you feel victimised because no one is paying attention to you for one day a year, that's your problem.

not bothered what colour anyone is. not bothered what sexuality they are. doubt anyone at a pride event has ever been oppressed as in the past but would probably been discriminated at some time of their lives. what does get me however is the amount of time the media gives to events like this and womens football as they are still of a minority interest to the majority.

Newspapers online survive mainly on clicks, so they put up outrageous stories to get the clicks and people read them and share them and get outraged over them (see mr butt as prime example)

I experienced second hand racism when going out with my ex who was Asian decent (Mam Chinese dad Japanese she was born in Malvern) went to my local in Abingdon without her and was at bar this guy I knew from there who played pool with us now and again saw her come in with her mates said “god they get everywhere don’t they” I said what you on about? He said “you know all them” pointing to my gf at the time. I then thought I see exactly how far he would go, replying sorry I don’t know what your on about just mates having a drink? He replied yeah but they probably come from the takeaway. At this moment my then gf got up and I said do you want a drink? They guy mouth hit the floor and I said no she comes from Malvern you racist twat.
