I have got to say two things are a big improvement on last season firstly the mail coverage since Liam Kelly was replaced by Dominic Scurr and secondly the live commentary. The home coverage with Brian Honour alongside Mark Simson is excellent, and away when joined by Geoff Winter was good they are best when Mark has some one to bounce off and give their views. Why not have a player who has travelled but not in the squad or one of the long term injured share the commentary.

It is excellent and more dependable than the pay for service was as well. They did used to use non-playing party members at one point. Remember Tony Sweeney beiong quite good, others a bit less so. My favourite was Sean the bus driver though, quality travel advice and a thoroughly biased account of the match. I suspect he didn't dare criticise in case he got chinned on the bus on the way back.

Not usually a fan of Jeff Winter but i enjoyed him more than usual on Tuesday. Used to always enjoy a player joining Simpson to do it, we have plenty who travel with the squad and dont make the bench so maybe some will join Mark at some point if Jeff cant make it.

Scurrs reporting at the Mail has been a vast improvement on anything previously by the Mail or by the Echo.
