8 games in and the pre-season favourites for promotion are still seeking their first win. Thought they would have adapted better after last season's experience.

8 games don't mean much down here though. It's only really around Christmas you can get an idea of who's going where and even then it's a vague idea.

But yeah, I concur. I thought they'd be doing much better than this.

think they,ll get stronger as the season goes on. my lad saw em the other week at stockport and said they looked dire once they went behind and didn,t look interested. fans not happy either with their manager. quicker they come to the vic the better.

The table definitely hasn't settled down yet. Despite giving Pools their first points of the season, Maidenhead are 4th at the minute - even Cassidy scored on Saturday.

See York City are top of the National League North, but they're doing it without Paddy McLaughlin. He got on for a few minutes as substitute in their first two games and hasn't featured in their match day squad since.

Not surprising really, the biggest impact he ever had on Pools was crocking Luke Molyneux for 4 months.

Bit of poetic justice there. Been out with an injury of his own. Knee I think.
