Hi i moved to the glorious English Riviera last year from Redcar
Whereby i have been following Torquay United wearing my Boro shirt
Yeah i know it's a Hartlepool forum but just a big heads up to any of
u die hard supporters that decide to make the long journey!

https://www.englishriviera.co.uk/
There's plenty of restaurants eateries cafes cocktail bars around the
the seafront /harbour-side incl Yates Wetherspoons etc
which is @1.5/2 miles away from the football ground
(Next to which is a public swimming pool)
It was rated as no.3 in the top Uk seaside resorts for 2019
Just in case anyone is staying over
Thing to do & see
Kent's Cavern one of Europe's top Stone Age caves
The World famous Babbacombe model village
Living Coasts coastal Zoo
Dinosaur World
A Museum
an 800 yr old Torre Abbey
The English Riviera's 60m Observation Wheel is being removed
Good luck on your journey

Club Shop | Match Days

Yeah off Torquay United's official website

Club Shop Match days opening times
Saturday | Midday – 3pm & after the final whistle until 5:30pm

There's usually @2800-3000 supporters there
It can be quite a noisy place at times

Are the people in the Bowls Club at the ground going to glare at me menacingly if I go in and start serving behind the bar because there is no bar staff and I am not a member, again?

I’m certainly not skinny or spotty

To be fair I don’t want to be throwing insults around on the Internet it’s all a bit frivolous and childish at the end of the day but this forum used to have rules. My response to his original post on the other thread was fair asking fair questions his response was as puerile as ever. Then he starts get personal (totally wide of the mark, but tries to get personal) after that.

It’s water off a ducks back to me but I do feel this board was better when it was actually moderated. The ‘No Rarfs Arms’ was the thing, don’t get personal and show each other a bit of respect. It’s not too much to ask from adults at the end of day. All sorts of rarfery from racism to personal insults (which I was guilty of then after provocation) seems to go unchecked these days to the boards determent, I suppose times change with Facebook and Twitter it seems to be the norm.

He has a personal agenda against the club all because they have ignored his offers of help which is more than a little odd seen as without the bloke in charge we’d have gone the way of Bury. Who would want to associate with someone who comes across like he does online?

Agree with that. There's also the Ignore button, which worked a treat for me when Dibble was getting on my tits.

You're not actually OBLIGED to respond to every post you disagree with...

Is the Torquay club shop open at 1am-5am on a Sunday and is the water refrigerated?

I don’t but I feel an agenda against the club could be quite damaging at the end of day it’s important the club know it’s a one man crusade.

Pools could do with some major sponsorship which normally comes to clubs our size from a local consumer based type of businesses. Problem is Artlepool doesn't have one of these except Camerons.
I would settle for Gregg's though.

You're right sadly. It's always been around online but has gotten substantially worse in the past 3 or so years...Wonder why....got to wonder how Tim Berners Lee feels sometimes

They made a sponsorship deal with stagecoach last season if memory serves me correctly.

Thanks for the info Redcar. I can't make it this time. My last visit to Torquay was in 2007 - Eiffion Williams winner. Hopefully you'll enjoy the match with a Pools win!

No stagecoach merely advertises and has something else going on in the background but no money going towards the club
