Hi all

Just reaching out ahead of your visit to Chorley on Saturday.

We are the town's cricket club and over the weekend is our annual beer festival.

Open from noon, we'll have a whole host of ales, gins and rums on offer whilst Sky Sports is in the bar and cricket starts from 1pm.

We're approximately a 10 minute walk from Victory Park and would be delighted to welcome you all before and after the game. It's also free entry and food will be on sale.

I tried searching google for "chorley shite rounders club" with no luck. Honestly shocked a business would be allowed to run with such a vulgar word, oh the horror, what is the world coming to!?

Victory Park is the home of Chorley Football Club, not Victoria Road/Park.

Gourmet food and craft beers are all very well but Pools fans are more interested in properly chilled mineral waters. What are you offering and are your fridges already running? If your water is tepid our top boys will kick off.

I'm not condoning it but there is a real chance of chew on a scale that hasn't been seen since the unofficial penguins were on the loose.

I haven't had a penguin biscuit since that infamous weekend.

Can't face them either, just thinking about the mayhem gives me a nasty tern.

Fridges on and only the finest mineral water in town. Ice and lemon if you really want to push the boat out!

Would you like a job as CEO of a well-known former Football League club in the north east?

So, a penguin is driving through the Arizona desert, happy that the AC is keeping him cool beneath the blazing sun, but a few miles down the road the car starts to overheat and the penguin has to call the AAA to sort it out.

Soon enough the AAA arrives, but the mechanic shakes his head and says that he'll have to tow the car to a nearby garage to check it out. The heat is now really getting to the penguin and when the tow-truck pulls into the garage he sees an ice-cream van and rushes to buy one.

They only have vanilla cones for sale and the poor penguin has a world of trouble with his short wings trying to eat it and makes a real mess. As he waddles back to the car the mechanic takes his head from under the bonnet and says, "hey buddy, looks like you've blown a seal".

To which the perplexed penguin replies, "no, it was just an ice-cream"...

You’ll have beer coming in your ears, sorry coming out of your ears.
