I wonder what Hignett would give now for the start Bates made last season - W4, D3, L1?

Of course, W6 L2 tops it. Can't wait!

Still too early to press the panic button. I think we expect too much straight away. It is a new team and they need to gel. It’s frustrating we’ve not won yet, but, let’s put things into perspective and it will hopefully come.
A fully fit Williams, Molyneux and Hawkes will only add quality. Let’s not get on their backs just yet.

Hignett needs to seriously look at team selection, Nolbe played 2, woeful in both, passing awful, tackles nil and opportunity to shoot instead of passing 7 banghead

James, runs for miles but achieves nothing.

Both stayed on and feather who was playing well got pulled sctatchinghead

'....they need time to gel...' please not that old chestnut - even Noble refused to accept that as an excuse after Saturday's horror show. I accept that Molyneux and Hawkes may make a difference but they hardly impressed in pre-season so don't expect the youngsters to make up for the already worrying deficiencies in Hignetts revamped squad. As for a fully fit Williams well that is a sight that we would all wish to behold but can even the best player make a difference on this overblown squad?

Well he was playing better than Noble and capable of passing a ball to a team member.

When I saw Feathers was playing at the front of a diamond formation I nearly turned the radio off, the blokes frightened to shoot, he'll look to lay off every time. Agree that James needs dropping though, it's better to have somebody who is anonymous but bags the odd goal than someone who runs all night but never looks like scoring, too easily knocked off the ball.

As far as Nobles concerned even the commentators last night were embarrassed by how many times he gave the ball away, he's not learnt a thing from last season, just keep hold of it if there isn't a pass on. He set up more of their attacks than any of their own players did last night.

Raynes seems to have a vital mistake in him every game so far.

something which the guy has done all his career. will win every tackle and header then cock something up that leads to a goal.
