Molyneux crocked by McLaughlin.

Mustafa looked decent.

A 2-1 defeat.

Nothing more to say really. Unless you count the number of midfielders. Or ask where Williams was.

Its ridiculous some of the comments you read on Facebook and Twitter. losing to York in a friendly is unacceptable apparently. It's a nothing game,we had two different sides in each half and a trialist playing, barnet hammered palace the other day and it means nothing! Its always nice to win but games like this will teach hignett more than a 7-0 win against newton aycliffe.

Kabamba best player on the pitch.

No idea how we will line up come the first match.

This.

Anyway, the 11 that started tonight is not going to be far from the 11 that plays against Sutton, and Pools were leading at half time!

I reckon there'll be another statement about Williams' progress soon. Realistically, he's not going to be in contention for anything more than a place on the bench when the season starts. The same goes for Donaldson, who has missed most of pre-season with an injury.

I’d imagine Traore, Raynes and potentially Hawkes will start against Sutton on the first day & they came on in the second half.

My only issue tonight was with the lack of opportunities - it was really boring. Looked fair enough in the first half.

Not 100% how you fit that many midfielders into one team, but Higgie’s the man with the plan. Can only play one of Bale and Hawkes, and two of Mustafa, Noble, Featherstone, Kennedy in my opinion.

Not sure what the trialist was like but we are very short in both full back areas if you ask me. Could do with a bit of experience in those positions.

Trialist looked a fish out of water and then pulled his hamstring when trying his first marauding run forward. Doubt we’ll see him in a Pools shirt again.

You could play your best eleven and formation for every single pre season friendly and they wouldn’t be as match sharp as anyone else when proper competitive football starts, because it’s different and actually matters.

This time of year is about giving people opportunity to impress, but most importantly getting equal amounts of minutes in legs for those who don’t need to. These games aren’t proper games of football, the minute unlimited subs become a thing in competitive matches will be about the time I take notice or give a single shite about any pre season result.

Any news on him?

Had XRay last night according to Hignett, would presume they got results straight away unless swelling means they cant be sure yet?

Massive blow to our most likely player to create chances and to our most naturally wide player, I know Williams isnt a direct replacement in anyway but we suddenly might need some creativity....

Beat case scenario is ligament damage and it’s 2-4 weeks

Don’t know who the fuck he thinks he is getting injured like.

Pointless signing

Should never have signed him in the first place, obvious this was going to happen. I want somebody sacked over this, it's gross misconduct. Bring me the head of the chief scout.

He's a bang average midfield player who hardly ever made a tackle when he was playing for Pools. Now he's needlessly crocked a former teammate in a friendly match.

The club should have foreseen this when we let York sign McLaughlin.

i wanna see 5 reasons why he shouldnt have been signed, why he should never get injured, whose fault it is and demands to know whats the hells going on at that circus we call pools.

Has the club released any update on Luke's leg injury? Hope it's not a fracture.
