Dropped straight down to the Northern League.

One of the Craig Harrison era's many terrible signings. He didn't played for us again for us after Dickie Dosh tried him out as a striker last Boxing Day. Thanks for the memories Dickie!

I'm pretty sure it was Newton, not Cassidy, who told Money that he didn't want to play in front of Pools "terrible fans." For the last couple of months of the season he allegedly had a bruised toe or summat, but eventually even the OS lost interest in the charade and stopped giving updates on how his 'injury' was coming along.

I think it was Paddy McLaughlin who said that, he was scattered to York shortly after.

When tired last night I read the title as "Connor Wickham - Off to Newton" Massive coup for the Newtonians that would be!

I remember him not starting for a couple of games as Craig Harrison was waiting to "unleash" him.

He was training with us last week but got offered more money by Whickham. Expect them to be up near the top of the NL next season, another club splashing the cash to entertain the 100 or so fans they have.
By the way, it may be news to you lot, but in Spennymoors promotional literature they are describing themselves as having come up "under the radar" and are now "the north easts 4 biggest club".
I guess if club size depends on the size of your chairmans wallet then maybe they are! However I would have you streets ahead of them. And then there is the likes of us, Shields and the heed too.
Their fans used to accuse us of arrogance when we were in the NL, now it seems the tables have turned and its them showing the arrogance.

Did I read you’d signed Adam Campbell the other day and he’s going to be ‘number 9’ for you?

Is it the same one we had on loan from Newcastle a few years ago? Of all the terrible loan players we’ve ever had he was right up there, or should I say down there as he’s about two foot six so I’m struggling to see him play number 9. I remember umpah lumpah comparisons

they are because thats how clubs are seen nowadays and not their level of support or even interest.

Apparently we have signed him yes. Thing is though Dan McGuire is only about 2' tall as well and he fitted into the system Armstrong plays very well.
Its also a couple of levels below where he played for Pools.
