Not a priority  , Kitching and Anderson can play there comfortably, fuck me, he must have missed the games when they played there, my stamp is nearly full, I'll ask Craig to borrow his!

We need a specialist left back with number 3 on his back.

It's still only the end of June. Bet Hignett is working on it behind the scenes - he's doubled up on every other position in the squad. And as he says, the loan market is always an option.

Yes its early days but looking good so far. Good left backs are a sought after commodity but if we can land a decent one even on a season loan the team will be balanced.

Its the final piece of the squad that needs addressing. I've got a feeling it will be a loan signing.

I wouldn't say a left back is a priority. It's probably the only position we're struggling with now, but I wouldn't expect anymore signings unless people were shown the door.

I think that Anderson is a better centre half than left back simply because of his lack of pace. He is certainly a decent no frills stopper.
Kitching would have been one of the first people that I would have let go this summer along with Hawkins had he not had another year on his contract (at least I am assuming that to be the case). He can and does make good overlapping runs down the left side of the field, but any savvy defender would quickly spot that, if he is forced onto his right foot, he will stop and either pass sideways or back with his left foot, thereby causing promising moves to either stall or break down. Unfortunately, he only uses his right foot to walk and stand on. Watch and count next season how many times he cuts in and puts over a good distance pass with his right foot.
As a youngster I was told in no uncertain terms that I must be able to kick effectively with both feet, albeit understanding that one will probably be more effective than the other.
I suppose that must be tempered by the fact that, had Kitching been able to use his right foot effectively, he could be playing at a much higher level.

I agree, at the start of the season they used him as an outlet from goalkicks and to be fair he won most headers, I think the lack of skill and being so left footed, he was found wanting as we were getting beat a lot, his defensive prowess was also in question, which would question the scouts who had/hadn`t spent time watching him.
