I have taken it down because I felt enough was enough.

To be clear;

I have not had any contact from lawyers.
I have not had any legal threats from elsewhere.
I have not been contacted about removing the thread by the club or anyone else, I took a unilateral decision.

Now past experience tells me that when these threads are taken down a certain amount of crowing happens and suggestions that it was fear of legal action.

Can I just say that the thread is archived not deleted and any nonsense posts elsewhere along the lines I have outlined above and the bastard is immediately reinstated and pinned.

I think that's a very reasonable thing to do to honest given some of the shit that was slung at you at the time, fair enough as well everyone needs to move on from this shit.

I didn't always agree with you at the time either to be fair and have always seen fan owned as being a last resort but you actually played a role in the clubs survival, Higgy, Raj, and Jeff Stelling's involvement all started from a lot of the legwork you did with others at the trust. It's with with this in mind that I have just sent Mark Maguire a very stongly worded E Mail outlining my outright disgust at you thus far not being given at least the freedom of the Borough or a small statue on the Headland.

Or at the very least, a mention in the Duke Street song.

Does anyone remember the old toilet behind the Mill House side that constantly overflowed and was open to the elements.
The best means of access was by canoe.

They were luxury those bogs! Compared to those at the old Chesterfield ground - and at Macclesfield - and at Luton.........

Aye, those were the days. when bogs were bogs and tasteless, soggy chips came in cones...........

Worst toilet had to be the one on the Clarence road side. If I remember right it was pitched black and seemed to be underground. You had to take a deep breath and hope for the best!

The last time we were at Bootham Crescent the ‘toilets’ were about a foot deep in piss by half time. A proper disgusting throwback.

Does anyone remember the wall at Spotland that was about five foot high so you could continue to watch the game while having a slash?

I reckon 5 minutes before Butt posts about lack of soap at Spotland toilets in 2002.

As soon as toilet walls were mentioned I thought of those.

My first ever non-darlo away game was at Spotland. We won 0-2 and Johnny Borthwick scored one with a header.

I kept asking people who scored because even though I had seen it I couldn't believe it was Borthwick.
