It would be a shame in a way for Liverpool's season to end without reward. Not just for competing to the last gane with an unreal team but also for being one of the most exciting teams I've seen.
Should be a good game and for some reason I fancy Tottenham to win it.

That was not shite. It was a brilliant example of tedious, over hyped life sapping drivel, it was booooooooooooring MEGA shite.
Worst thing was I was sat in the back garden on a pleasant warm evening and went in to watch it. I can never get that night back.
Ironically it showed the supporters leaving the ground and not one of them had a scouse accent when interviewed.

I thought in was never a penalty to honest. Again it highlights why VAR and subjective calls don't fit together as I reckon you could argue clear evidence on that one for it being a penalty and it not being a penalty, especially in slow motion which I don't think the VAR officials should be allowed to use either as offences always look worse slowed down, a millisecond of contact on the arm can be made to look like he took the lace out of it. The fact of the matter as well is that it's not eradicating mistakes and harsh calls. If contact on the hand or on a player is so minimal that you need to slow it down to see it then the defender should get the benefit, or even scrap this garbage all together apart from matters on fact.

Sissoko put his arm out to point the initial point on contact was his chest, he had no intent or desire to handle the ball, he didn't prevent the ball reaching it's intended target in fact I think the intended target was him after he put his arm up to point. 30 seconds into a Champions League Final getting a penalty for that? Do me a favour.

Very poor game though, as bad as I have seen Liverpool play all season. Three week break, hot night and the occasion could have been factors. After the season they have had though and after reaching the final last season you can't really argue that the right team didn't win it, in fact despite playing poorly in possession they won fairly comfortably, Alisson made some decent saves you have expected him to make but Spurs didn't actually create a clear cut chance.

Yes a bit of a tongue in cheek comment but i have noticed a dip in form.
With him being Englands choice forward he suffers from over hype.
He can be very good but for me he is not one of the worlds top players like Messi Ronaldo etc.

It was a big call to start Kane last night as he normally takes a bit of time to hit form after injury but he’s still had a good season twenty odd goals in thirty odd games is not so bad. Quite a few of the of England players have had a bit of a dip this season possibly understandable after the World Cup like Trippier and Delle Ali. I thought the big one who didn’t turn up last night was Eriksen, the forwards had no service.

I understand your point Mr phil but saying that every contact between ball and hand/arm is a free kick/penalty would be dire.

It would just encourage players/managers to play to that one rule - just bray it against a hand/arm at every opportunity. Penalties and free kicks galore. Fuck that shit.

I accept I said there needs to be intent and there wasn't so no, if I had my way it wouldn't have been BUT that isn't todays game so yes, it was. The ball was prevented from taking its course by his outstretched arm and that's the important bit 'outstretched arm'. Had his arm been in front of his body it wouldn't have been given.

Spurs won 3 out of last 9 games of the season without Kane two of those wins being against Huddersfield and Brighton at home, the other being that second half in Amsterdam. They finished the season in terrible form.
