As Catterick has not put ahy pressure on Scott Loach I suggest loose both and my keepers for next season would be Ben Killip Braintree with back up by Ryan Whitley a 6foot 7 inch giant at York who many say is destined for the football league. Both are out of contract at current clubs.

Can both go for me as well.
And release the goalie coach and that McNamee gadge. Sweeney can do his job.
The club having to cut its cloth could work in its favour.
Time to end the jobs for the boys culture.
The only way is up.
UTP.

End the "jobs for the boys" culture by removing Mcnamee and replacing him with Sweeney?

It seems to have morphed into anyone with any sort of connection with Middlesbrough these days.

I have been to boro before, does this mean I'm a fan for the boys?

Ged McNamee has been part of the coaching set up at Sunderland and Man U and used to play for Pools.

No Borer connections at all. There must be another reason he needs to make way for Tony Sweeney we're all missing. :-)

Every member of staff and player should be sacked.

It’s the way to go when trying to rebuild a club.

This current jobs for the boys suggestion is particularly hilarious seen as the bloke worked for free for months when he first joined the club. As is the suggestion that Tony Sweeney could also fill in as goalkeeper coach.

TBF If Big Stevie (too soon) was player manager with Mellish as his player/assistant no other coach's would be needed, no on would complain. Then we could talk proper about the number of right Borts. #ivegotafootballbrain

I know he wasn't at Boro but he came in under Bates and with Turnbull etc so lots of people just presume he is mates with ex boro etc and link him that way.

It sounds like he works well with Hignett and lots of players speak well of him. We also got to remember Hignett will need experience alongside him and it sounds like McNamee sometimes reins Hignett in a bit when he is wanting to go gung ho etc.

He also helped the club out when we were in the shit and worked for free, can see no reason why he should be scattered.

Known Ged for 20 odd years from his time at Man U and at Sunderland, he is a top, top coach and a thoroughly honest bloke. All the lads who have worked with him in his academies you will find, all respect him. In addition, as has been highlighted he worked for nowt for 3 months.
