Today, on asking, I heard that the new owners of the Milhouse wanted to put a fence around the front area, and that this contributed to them moving on, not sure why they haven't relocated to another area around the stadium, but maybe the profits weren't enough to warrant the effort?

Today we set off in good time to get to Hartlepool and have fish and chips prior to the game. However due to heavy traffic and a diversion off the A19 due to an accident we got to the ground with fifteen minutes to spare.
We had two options. Buy food at the ground or go hungry. Unfortunately we bought pies and a few chips in the ground. I paid £13-50 for three pies and three cones of chips.
We asked for three chicken balti pies and, although these pies were advertised for sale, were told that chicken balti pies had not been available "for ages".
Suffice to say we won't do that again.
Bloody awful.

The issue of catering in the ground needs sorting and if done correctly would open up a decent revenue stream for the club.
I think there was a promise that this would be looked into during the close season.

Like Mr Derwent, the A19 closure meant me and the bairns didn't get there until after kick off. So I had no choice but to feed them in the ground.

I reckon about half the items on the list weren't available. Fair enough if there was a huge crowd, and there was no pies left due to demand, but these were things with a long shelf life ie kets.

I don't know how many years we've been saying it for, but there's a big revenue stream Pools are missing out on that could be easily tapped into if they get the basics right.

It improved last season when they let the mobile caterers take over.

And the Mill House bar is appalling - awful, extremely iffy beer - stupid queues - etc. A missed opportunity by our commercially savvy CEO..........

Pools could learn a lot from Boro, slick service with appropriately dressed staff, serving edible looking food at a reasonable price, it`s hardly rocket salad after all.

Not bothered about food.
The pints of lager are mank with no variation of choices.
Should have a chilled can bar which would return a 100% profit even at £2.50 a pint can of Budwieser.
Loads of our fans like a few beers so makes business sense to improve the bar/food areas of the ground.

Wouldn’t trust that anything will get done anytime soon. Maguire is a waste of space. Sent three emails about something to him this season and not even received an acknowledgment never mind a reply even though I got read receipts for them all.
