About three he’s barely been involved since the early part of the season, Sam Collins completely binned him off and slagged him off for drinking a pint in a airport at 7am.

By the way he was talking on a recent podcast he’s retiring. He’s good craic and has been a good player but he’s 38 in December. He might have been a decent addition earlier in the season or last year and I wouldn’t mind an option of this type off the bench or for certain games though. I have also said since our relegation if we want success at this level we need at least one fat fucker in the team.

I can’t get past how horrible he is but he’s a type of player who comes in handy at this level and a type of horrible bastard we don’t have. I’d have thought he’ll be available after only scoring once in the League this season I can’t see Lincoln taking him up to League One. Parkin is a better footballer.

He's certainly a big old unit but hasn't completed 90 minutes for York for God knows how long. Given that the Pools purse strings are likely to be further constricted, I would imagine he would be a luxury we can ill afford.

Good point well made, we aren’t looking for muscle most of the best teams at this level have at least one genuine fatty. We possibly need a morbidly obese centre half as well if we properly want to be taken seriously. Maybe we could just get Myles Anderson to spend the summer with The Beast if he does sign to fill him out?
