I was pleased yesterday as the sun came out and thought it would be a pleasant day after all despite the weather forecast. At quarter to one I said as much to one of my sons to which he replied ”Well they’re getting beat 1-0”. I tried to have a quick put down, till in slow motion, I realised it wasn’t a 3 o’clock kick off :uhoh:
The wife was happy with a walk around the garden centre  ...after the piss taking, it’ll end soon. :angry-tappingfoot:

12.30 is a very strange time for a match......it just felt wrong!

Can't stand all the dicking around with kick off times.

3pm on Saturday, 7.45pm on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Don't get me started on the FA Cup final.

I did the same. Was in the car at 2.30, bombing up the A19 to the Elwick turn off, listening to Radio Tees, wondering why they hadn't interrupted the Borer blather to give the Pools team news. Then one of them said something about a conversation they'd been having during the half time interval at the Vic...

Ah well, saved £3 not having to buy a programme.

The FA have sucked all the joy out of the FA Cup in recent years, the farce of having semi-finals at Wembley and the dicking around with kick off times.

The same happened to me! Arrived in Hartlepool about half one, thinking I have plenty of time to stroll round the Marina and shit, then suddenly remembered the early kick off. It must be fecking Alzheimer's or summit, as I reminded my friends about the early kick off at the previous game. As for the F.A. Cup! The whole country used to stop for the final years ago, now it's scheduled to avoid 'clashing' with likes of 'Come Dine With Me' and 'Britain's a Talentless Wasteland' etc.

It might just be me, but listening to the wannabe’s in the Premiership desperate for a top four place and saying the money making European competition is more important than the FA cup is a mystery to me.
I hate the way coverage of the Cup Final has been downgraded to just another match status.
Ah well, money rules.

Always good to see the BBC and its overpaid minions doing their King Canute impression, blathering on and on about 'the magic of the FA Cup' because it's one of the rare opportunities when they get to show a bit of live men's football.

That said, I doubt I'd watch this year's final live at any time of the day or night because I couldn't care less who wins between Man City and Watford.
