Greeting Poolies, just to let you know that there will be a bucket collection around the ground on Monday for the Barrow supporters who are doing the annual Keswick to Barrow (c40 miles) / Coniston to Barrow (c20 miles)walk.

The Keswick to Barrow is an institution around our way and stems from the 1960s when the American navy personnel working in the shipyard challenged their hosts to a series of physical challenges. It is now a fixture for runners and walkers raising money for a host of charities.

The Barrow supporters team are raising money for MIND (mental health); the Brain Tumour Charity and for our Supporters Trust who use the money to subsidise free tickets for families who wouldn’t normally be able to afford to go.

I will be manning the bucket in your end and any spare change will be gratefully received.

Thanks and enjoy your day out

Dave

You can't have mine, I am currently going through a Ned Kelly phase.

Enjoy the Game.

Good luck to those doing it. I did the full 40 miles a few years ago; it's a beast of a walk.
