There are vast swathes of the UK where nearly everyone is white British (eg Hartlepool) where knife crime occurs.

Crime of all sorts is normally at its worst in the most run down poorest parts of a town or city, perpetrated by and on some of most vulnerable nearest the bread line people the demographic will change from Town to Town or City I doubt it has anything to do in reality with nationality or colour of skin. It seems life is getting worse in these areas with lack of opportunities/universal credit etc so it’s little surprise to see violent crime on the increase.
