who nicked a goal in the first half through ex Poolie Billy Greulich with a glancing header from a corner and second half a mistake by Hawkins left us open and they grabbed a second.
Hawkins looked a class above and worked hard all game, shame about the error, Catterick made a few decent saves, Shepherd in midfield, Webster and Miller at the back all look decent, man of match for me was Brook Miller.

Matty Robson still looks a decent player.

Pointless game, no loss.

Did the striker who was on bench on Saturday play?

Yes and that is the only comment I can make really, no 11 in midfield looked the most likely to score.

Started 4-4-2 and stayed that way I think.

Just watched the highlights. Looks like wasting chances runs right through the football club. Does nobody on the coaching staff teach them to get over the ball before shooting at goal. Everything goes over the bloody crossbar. Right at the start the number nine had a free header at goal, was totally unmarked but failed to get it on target and way over the top it went. It just carried on from there.
Is it nerves, lack of confidence, no technique or what ????. The second goal came from our player giving the ball away in midfield through lack of control. It was uncannily like watching the first team over the last few years.
It's basics for Christ's sake.

The same goes for set pieces, I'm 60 but can get a ball to clear the front post, although I am special!

Watch when we take a corner, 80% of the time it goes past the back post and never a player coming in from the back! Be them dreaded tictacs again, maybe Harrison didn't leave his ' basic coaching' manual behind!
Oh and defending corners, 2 onto 1 at back post for them!!
I am a visionary mind #footyknowledgeonastamp

A little bit harsh considering it was basically our youth team playing against men, especiallly when the same youth team is in with a shout of winning the League.

Seen posts on facebook absolutely slating players about this game. Can't understand it.

I am not slating them and I am aware that they may lack in physical strength when playing against fully grown men.
I am referring to the basic skills of shooting, heading, passing etc. Some of these youngsters have been at the club for years and it worries me that, whilst they will still have room to develop physically, they seem to be following in the footsteps of their first team counterparts who, over the last four or five seasons, haven't really pulled any trees up.
I do realise that I might be worrying unnecessarily but there is a familiar content present in my opinion.
I seem to recall that Mr Dibble used to frequently allude to the youth set up and how wanting he thought it to be.
I have concerns and feel it necessary to air them.
Maybe this is one of the concerns Richard Money had. I know Money walked away and had previous on that score but he walked away without taking a penny. He didn't relish the task of sorting out the anomalies inherent in the club and didn't realise, when he joined, how big the task was.
Our juniors are part of our future and scrutiny of all aspects of that department should be forefront in our minds.
I do stress that everything, comments included, should be constructive.
