Forget about the play offs they are a pipe dream just try and win as many as we can and hit the ground running with trialists and players ready for next season. lets see Luka Murphy on the bench now we are down to bare bones in central defence.
Next Season: Loose most of the players on high wages and sign the best players from National league and national league North that WANT to play for the club.Get Kabamba on a pre-contract as he wants to come and not risk loosing him. Speak to Boro and if Dimi is out of contract ask him to join a much better keeper than Loach. Sign Kerr a left back from Gateshead and Tinkler like his father a midfield enforcer. Get Molyneux on a full seasonj loan from Sunderland and another goalscoring striker. Please Pools look at the lower leagues you have people like Tommy Miller senior and Brian Honour within the club with avast knowledge of the Northern League it is about time you used it.

I said this time last season we should sign 4 or 5 from Gateshead and we signed bloody Paddy Mc. Yet again they have players who could improve us, the two you mention are decent players. I would also look at Dan Jones, who is having a good season in a tight Barrow defence, also has a good shot on him as well.

Pretty sure Fraser Kerr is a centre half, tinker plays right wing back for them and molyneaux is out of contract and probably won't get a new deal.

A few months back it looked like we could have a Derby with Spennymoor next season in National league North.
Since then Spenny can't stop winning so the Derby could happen next season.
And good luck to them which would be an outstanding achievement considering they were in Northern league div two about 7 years ago.

I hope Spenny don't go up, they would probably take Noble and Donaldson off us

Gateshead have been skint all season, home gates under a 1,000 but are still in a play off place. Even with the end of parachute payments Pools will be much better resourced than them next season so there's no excuse not to aim high.

Imagine what the crowds at the Super Vic could be if the season starts well (winning home games with a bagful of goals rather than the last two 'good starts.')

Money obviously gives you an advantage, but you still need clever people in place at your club to spend it wisely.

Don't forget that the last of the parachute money disappears after this season so the coffers are not overflowing. Pools will be reliant on traditional forms of income so don't be surprised to see season ticket prices rise.

Then it’d be worth an extra couple of quid.

The parachute payments should not be an excuse.
Plenty of other teams do OK without them.
A fully committed team with our fan base should ensure we can challenge to get back to were our loyal support deserves.

We might as well not bother next year if the play offs are a pipe dream. Gateshead potless up there on 600 crowds, solihull recently top on crowds of 1000. At times we have been dreadful this year and we can still finish top 10. We should be aiming to win the league.

If anything it might be a blessing. The club will have no choice but to move on the highest earners, who coincidentally are probably the biggest failures.
