Luckily they've discovered that the speed limit was wrong and they've adjusted it down accordingly. Any suggestion that the crash could have been caused by Phil being ancient, a shit driver or slightly pissed are all nonsense - he was driving perfectly well but they'd made a mistake with the speed limit and somebody he couldn't possibly have seen coming drove into him.

I'm sure that if anybody on here pulled out in front of on-coming traffic and caused a crash the police would immediately review the speed limit while allowing you to be whisked away without being breathalysed. You must have a full bag of chips with scraps on your shoulder if you think this gentleman who has done so much for our country has had any special treatment at all.

Both drivers were brethalysed and passed. Should a 97 year old really still be driving though?

I wonder if it was a failed revenge attack from the Ghost of Princess Diana?

Had he died, I wonder if his personal allowance would of went towards building a new hospital or some other worthwhile cause?.

Did they test for drugs though? At his age I'd imagine he rattled like a dispensary box when the car turned over.

It's also amazing that after being chucked around like that he was able to get straight to his feet when helped out of the wreck and didn't need a stay in hospital. I want some of what he's taking!

He said he was dazzled by the sun and also asked where he should put his legs. It sounds like acid to me.

What I don't understand is that he was driving at 97 out of a side road. That was far too fast and he should be given a good ticking off the bounder.
As for the other driver, she should be banned for life for not doing the job properly.
I knew this would happen six months ago.
Corbyn out.

I can confirm from personal experience that that stretch of road up to Hunstanton from Sandringham is a bleeding nightmare.

Have the Mail or The Sun discovered who this pleb who dared to make Phil look bad is? She should be honoured to have her wrist broken by her betters.

They should doorstep her until they find out she isn't married to the baby's father, or voted remain or something. Perhaps she's a Muslim so they can go with Brave Phil Risks His Life To Stop Terrorist Attack.

I have driven down it. Treacherous. The whole area is bloody dangerous and most of the locals are six fingered banjo players.
It's the land that time forgot. Try pulling a caravan round the area.
I've had some decent holidays in Norfolk though. Camping at Kelling Heath in the Holt area. Decent steam train ride round there.

There’s an awful lot of Turbo carrot crunchers whose driving technique is to floor it and go...they don’t appear to know where they’re going, but they don’t see that as a problem. Brakes and speedometers are allegedly optional.
The best experience is that massive roundabout at Kings Lynn where it’s like going on a fairground ride with Mad Max.
However, once you get past Hunstanton along the North Norfolk coast the roads get narrower and the driving more pleasant. The Norfolk speed humps really help (aka tractors) .... apart from the naughtily named village of Stiffkey

My comment was intended as a light-hearted aside on Phil the Greek's mode of transport, but surely you know that?

I towed a caravan around that area and it was a nightmare, and the most boring area I have ever visited.

For some reason, once you get around the Sandringham area your sat nav goes on a bender, could never work out why.

existed in norfick for 7 years and found it opposite to this. going nowhere slowly is the name of the game. everyone seems to drive the bottom of the range vehicle no matter which and in some places especially on sundays phil the greek would be average age for the road users especially around places like wroxham and potter heigham. usually you miss a place once you move and the rose tinted specs appear. not missed owt about it for a single second.

In the mid 90s I walked the Peddars Way walk from Thetford to Hunstanton, I may as well of walked it naked, never passed a soul in 4 days, walked into a few villages just off the walk, in the hope of getting a pint, but pubs shut , no one around, nothing, a very strange part of the country, all a bit American Werewolf in Londonish. Walk was boring as fook as well.

To be fair you’re talking the broads, different world from the top of the world Norfolk. Now as for NOOOOOOO not Wroxham  Fucking Roy is STILL in charge and no competition. Then there’s Potter Heigham..... a place so desolate down by the river, life’s only joy is trying to watch some twat from Derby (other landlocked towns are available) on his hire boat trying to drive under that little bridge. It’s full of villages of the damned...... might go for a week again this year.

Obviously living on the edge of the fens I have been around that area a lot. Kings lynn road from Huntingdon is a nightmare. Same anywhere off the new thetford road to Norwich is and very odd folk.
