That's a pretty damning assessment of the current crop of players at the club. 'Players' is probably a good term to describe them as a lot of them are 'playing' at being professional footballers but that's all. I think there is a general malaise at the club, a lot of them (not just some) are robbing a wage, they give the impression that they are trying but in reality they are kidding us and just going through the motions.
We've been hearing the excuse about a lack of confidence for far too long now, I think lack of effort would be a more accurate description. I didn't go today, and although I don't like to miss, I'm not forsaking my good time to be hoodwinked and embarrassed by people who don't even break into a sweat during a 90 minute game. Hang your heads in shame Pools 'PLAYERS'.
I feel really sorry for Raj Singh, in any other business he'd be getting them all in for a disciplinary on Monday after that dilge.

Don't worry , if we signed any of them, they would soon become shit. Some of these non league players, are down the gym, out running every day of the week, and that's after been at work. Our players run around a few cones for an hour and a half a day and probably do the gym about once a week. Weak as piss.

Good point re Raj - I expect that his Saturday night was as bad as ours - but is it the players? Or is it the senior staff around him? A fish rots from the head...............

Its the whole culture of the club, and has been since I began supporting them, except for a couple years under Gibson and 5 or 6 under IOR happy to accept second best, yet bizarrely think they are a cut above and better than everyone else.

horden is right the club has always accepted 2nd best, loads of clubs are in a similar financial position to us. Until we get born winners in all capaciticies in the club we will slip further. The honours, watsons, williams, mcphails and gabbiadinis put these to shame.
