There again today and out fought by a team of much quicker, agile, fitter players than us. I'm not questioning the effort but we are so physically weak all over the pitch.

Our current fitness coach and has been part of the plight for many years now, all the way from the Blyth match. Hopefully in the summer money can get some staff in who he rates, he is not to blame in any shape or form.

For me the Telford front two were everything we need at this level, quick, strong, hard working, just a handful. They don't need to be technically excellent at this level.

I thought their front two were quite good technically , especially their movement. That is a team not even setting the NLN alight, which gives you an indication of were we are headed , if things not sorted out soon.

Is it fitness or a lack of physicality in our squad? In midfield especially we don’t have any ball winners or big powerful lads who can get around the pitch and press when the opposition have the ball. They are all probably as match fit as any other teams but we need to recruit some pace and power.

Why do you feel the need to constantly make stuff up?

Why would that be laughed at?

Because it always is about you in your posts!!!

Also I didn’t suggest it was you I asked why anyone would laugh at a perfectly fair comment? Which is a fair question. Nobody did though did they?

Why do YOU feel the need to constantly make things up. That sounds like you were saying it was me. Fookin eejit!

I was saying it to you because you made something up. Nobody would laugh at someone for making a fair point. If it’s true who said it and who laughed at them? Name calling again I see because you can’t answer reasonable enough questions. What have I made up?

No PJ , it was you who got narky again, accusing me of making things up. Now we cant dig up old posts due to the forum crashing, but I said a long time ago, we should have a team of six footers, and I was ridiculed by the mob, probably led by you. The chickens are now coming home to roost, people saying now what I have been saying for years, like I said on another thread that you mocked, look at the facts, 4 seasons in lge 1 were we got worse every season before getting relegated, same in lge 2, and looking like same in this league, 18th, 19th , 18th etc … replacing bad players with even worse , then inevitable relegation to NLN

Not saying every player should be 6ft but at least 80% of them , though I wouldn't have a problem if all of them were 6ft. The main thing is that they are strong and good footballers, which at the moment we haven't got. Players who can tackle, head a ball, shoot with power, and pick out a pass , and take a free kick and a corner, yes the basics. Yes Boland and Widdrington would be nice, Mark Tinkler or Paul Murray would be even better, but that was in another world, playing with better players, at a club better off financially. Players of that calibre are not going to find there way here now, we have to get the best players available out of the bargain basement , good non league players and loanees , who are tall , fit and strong, players on the way up the ladder not coming down it. They won't be easy to find , but there have to be be some about somewhere , even locally. The question is can our mythical scouts not only find them, but also be able to attract them here.

I didn’t mention height I said pace and power. Money has already said he’s not going to play long ball. We lack someone like Tshibola in midfield who has the engine and stamina to press the opposition and get us the ball back, and we lack energy and pace all over the pitch. We never seem to boss a game. We need strong players both mentally and physically this lot in many ways seem as weak as piss.

I accused you of making stuff up not to be narky but because you did, for the third time who laughed at you it’s not a hard question and if it was true it wouldn’t be hard to dig up using the search facility?

We have a fitness coach....?....really?
Who’s the scout?...... Tonto?
Seriously, I’ve seen more aggression in a flower arranging class!
I can honestly say in all my time watching Pools, I have never seen a more de-motivated, mentally weak, apathetic bunch of big girls blouses pull on a Pools shirt.
Even when going behind, the heads drop and a collective drop of heads follows. There’s no fight, no spirit, nothing, just a collective comfort duvet and cuddles attitude.

Is it possible for the moderators to stop horden and PJ from seeing each others post.

If so please do it.

clappp clappp clappp

In the good old days I used to go along to Billingham Town to watch the reserves - and we had some pure shite on trial on many occasions - but I can't think of any reserve game which was ever as bad as that yesterday. And they couldn't do flower arranging as the little pricks would hurt themselves on the rose thorns.......

I have him on ignore. but I can still view his posts if you wish to., and sometimes in a thread you need to view otherwise the thread doesn't run properly. Is there something like on Facebook, where if you block someone you don't even see that they have posted or exist for that matter. If so that is what I want.

Personally, I don't agree with either of you. The squad is imbalanced, doesn't look fit and has a bad mentality. In my opinion, there are a handful of players here that are so used to losing it doesn't really bother them. Winning is something they do in September.

To say the squad would be improved if it was taller is utterly ridiculous. If I could sign one player from the last 15 years to come into this team it would be Willie Boland, or Tommy Widdrington. An experienced, nasty man in the midfield to get about, win tackles and frustrate the opposition. They weren't tall in the slightest.

I also think Money deserves criticism, but not the sack. His team selections make no sense. Everyone out of position, players doing what they want and our best players dropped for unknown reasons. His comments to the media have been weird and wound up a lot of the supporters, which is never good.

However, what do we actually expect from him in such a short space of time? If he'd come in and continued Batesball it would have been pointless sacking Bates. Something had to change, I just didn't expect it to be literally everything on a weekly basis, regardless of whether it works or not.

Money has a year, unless we're in the relegation places come April. Give him a year to clear out everyone and build a squad then see where we are. If there is no improvement then he should be sacked. Easy as that. In the mean time, this is an extended preseason now. We have very little left to play for and I have better things to spend my time and money on, so excuse me if I find something else to do on a Saturday afternoon.

That's a fair and balanced post, which is a rarity this weekend. As you say, we got a new manager in to make changes but so far they haven't necessarily been the right changes. Pools had a fair bit of success in the first two months of the season with Bates playing a 5-3-2, but got found out because the team didn't create enough chances and the forwards didn't take enough of the few chances that came their way. Richard Money came in with a brief to change things and talks very well about what he's trying to implement, but the fact is that on the pitch the overall standard of performance has deteriorated, clearly not helped by the constant tinkering with the starting 11. And we're still not creating enough chances or putting them away!

After Money's post-match interview, some serious transfer activity in the next few weeks is an absolute must. He says we're limited by the number of loan signings we can make - that didn't seem to stop Ronnie Moore from getting the right players in when he took over. For a start he can send Rodgers back, and the non-appearing lad Butler to Stoke if that makes any difference. Sign the wingers that he says we need, and an experienced leader on the pitch to replace Davies. And play Kioso!

think a few had a go at me when we used to win games earlier in the season for having a pop at james and muir wanting more height and stronger players upfront and more fitness in the side. hate to say i told you so.

What is the situation with Kioso? When I saw him earlier in the season, I thought that we had unearthed an absolute gem, not least because he displayed virtually all the attributes that are so sadly missing from our team. Has he been brought down to the level of the others? I believe he was injured but has been fit for recent games???

Has a Noodle addiction.

Seriously he does seem to have been annexed, played okay yesterday when came on, but you would probably expect that from someone trying to force their way back into the team. I thought his form was on the wane from around October to be honest and from then on was living on his earlier promise. Of course everything at the club has went Pete Tong since then and he appears to be one of the casualties. Money needs to use his nous to get him back on track , improve him and get the best out of him , of course playing him might help as well.

Cheers for that, Horden.

I have to admit that I haven't seen Pools for a couple of months but it must be difficult to maintain your form when surrounded by so much shite.
