I'm on a losing run of predictions of late and haven't a clue how I think this one is going to end up. This competition could save our season and I hope we take it seriously , as I doubt at this stage our fans will and the crowd could be anything between 800 and 1800.

Obviously the team Money puts out will have a bearing on things, would like to think he would put his strongest out, but I reckon there will be a few tweaks, with Amos certainly starting at left back.

Play as badly as last week and Telford are certainly capable of getting a draw. If Money picks the right team in the right formation and the players are at it, no reason why we can't win quite easily , the big IF though.

2-1 win

Cassidy scored for Maidstone in round 1 against Woking in their 3-2 victory. Hope someone at Pools realises this will make him cup-tied for Saturday.

Remember what happened to us when we played Gary Liddle against Brighton when he should have been suspended for that game and therefore ineligible. Pools were docked 3 points two days before the final game of the season and we just avoided relegation with a 0-0 at Brentford.

For a cup match it would mean expulsion from the competition.

I will change my first scorer to Hawkes 24th minute then. What the hell were we thinking of letting Cassidy play? shows how bad the relationship must of been with Bates, he clearly wasn't meant to come back, and now he has , he's cup tied and it could cost us.

Here's hoping the lads can get their heads out of scoring the binary way and start thinking proper whole numbers.

11-10 win
11001110001 home
1001001 away

Can you have a draw or does it go to extra time/ pens?

Weather forecast - Saturday bright and breezy but perhaps the odd shower.

Catering/bar behind the Mill House - the same

Pot holes - 2 mm deeper

Think its a replay with ET / Pens if that's drawn.
Can't see there being any sort of atmosphere on Saturday , a pre season friendly in baltic conditions, that can only favour Telford. On the plus side shouldnt be any queues at the bar and there should be hot dogs in abundance, thats assuming Pools order enough beer/hot dogs/ staff in , due to having no idea what the crowd is going to be. Would be interesting to know at this stage how many tickets have been sold. I'm in two minds as to whether to attend or not, I'm sure there are many in the same position. My guess is a 1000 will be going regardless, a 1000 who definitely won't and another 1000 yet to decide.

Thank god we wont have to suffer more than 90 minutes then.

Weather is forecast at 9 degrees with a feel like of 6 degrees and westerly winds that favour the Mill House faithful.
I am sure the staff and the orders for beer/grub will be reduced to ensure similar queues and service levels.
I have already bought my tickets and not bad for £5 (old farts)...well done Pools.
Yes the "yets to decide" will have a major effect on the attendance and if the missus wants them to go shopping!

It wasn't that long ago either, 12th December he played in the original game, the day after Richard Money was appointed. 18th of December was the replay he scored in. So we are now without one of our main strikers for the rest of the competition, smashing.

Cunning.

On that basis I predict.....

Pools 6-0 (hattricks for Elvis and Lord Lucan).

"Pools 6-0 (hattricks for Elvis and Lord Lucan)."

Is that Elvis 'The King', Elvis Costello or Elvis off here? All more likely to get a hat trick than our current strikers but I need some clarity on your selection.

I wish I could delete and start this thread again. My prediction was based on Cassidy and Noble playing. Where are the goals going to come from? Its blowing a gale, and rain is forecast, please god no, we can't lose today.

At 4.00pm the forecast is;

80% chance of heavy rain
9 degrees but feels like 6 degrees
Wind 13 mph with gusts up to 27mph

Perfect Pools weather and i revise my prediction to 3-0

Thanks Carol :obscene-sexualdoggy:

Second best in every dept and i think its best this was finally confirmed in a cup game which we can consign to history.
The group of fans around me were not abusive to the players, staff or club they were just cracking daft jokes about the whole sad situation.
I wish i was watching AFC Telford each week they played some really good football.

Telford were very good when they beat us earlier in the competition but we are shite in cups these days anyway, not won a proper cup tie in 3 seasons.
However earlier in the season we beat them fairly easily 3-0. Seems like they just lack consistency but when they click they are good.

Thanks for your observations but i would say they are a very organised outfit now with a good degree of steel and determination in their play. Perhaps worth a bet on them getting promotion?? i might have a punt.....
