As I mentioned earlier this week the release of Woods to sign for another Conference side on a free earlier this week simply beggared belief. Those idjits who said that the club wouldnt miss his expereince or goals are away with the fcuking fairies Im afraid. Coupled with the loaning out of Hawkins, Cassidy and others Woods release has left the squad seriously depleted especialy with the ex-Borer boys consistently missing from the front line - but no surprise there to be fair.

Yet again the fans are being mushroomed about what is happening - so much for the latest brave new era. Despite the pre-season big talk nothing has changed in respect of 'openness and honesty' its still the HUFC secret service. Is it too much to ask for someone to come out and tell it like it is - just for once?

Facts suggest there is nothing between the two teams , and if last seasons team weren't getting paid they have an excuse. Is Anderson better than Donnelly? or Kioso better than Laing? or James better than Cassidy? I'm not so sure.

Not sure why it's the management's fault Woods left, he expressed a desire to leave before any of them took charge and that desire didn't change.

It isn't , he wanted to go and his performances bore that out, why he wanted to go is another matter, the blame for that could be laid at the managements door. It does leave a sour taste in the mouth when he has looked disinterested this season, yet comes on for Harrogate after 76mins and scores

Once a player wants to go, you might as well call it a day and let them go. Their past record is just that, the past! An unhappy player with eyes on the exit door is never going to be of any use to you.
However, it would be nice to know why they wanted away. Which sadly we'll never find out

I think he became frustrated because he was not selected to start games or at least given more game time and I can understand that. When he was playing he was the more advanced link between midfield and the strikers and very capable of picking up bits in the opposition box as was proved last season when he played his natural game and scoring goals. This season however he hasn’t been given the opportunity to do the same which if he had I am quite confident he would have stayed. If you analyse, this season, the results of the games he played in from the off against what has happened since McLaughlin was selected ahead of him I would be surprised if there is not quite a difference.

Oh to be a fly on the wall of the dressing room and the intrigues we never know about.
