Sunny intervals with a gentle breeze, with temperature of 7 according to the BBC which sounds a bit on the chilly side to me.

Difficult one to call this, both teams struggling of late.

Size of the crowd will be interesting , will the Sunday 4.30pm live on tv put some off , or will fans of other clubs in the area save the day, by coming to the Vic for their football fix , and you would have to be addicted to the game wouldn't you , to want to watch this one.

Can't see there been more than a goal in it, either way , but I'm sitting on the fence for this one and playing safe.

0-0

I really hope I'm wrong though, and we give our supporters and those watching on BT a treat with James and
O' Neill getting a brace each.

Can't believe we haven't beat them at home since the year 2000!! I can see a 1-1 draw here, McLaughlin to break his duck

We've got to score 3 one of these days.

Pools 3 - 1 Barnet. Muir, James, Noble

Gate 2600 with 70 visitors who don't have BT tv.

If win win, I for one will not happy, we are just papering over the cracks
If we draw, it's a fucking disgrace, it worse than loosing
If we loose, we fucking deserve it

There you go, I've ticked all the boxes, haven't I?

1-0 pools (Muir)
2703

I won’t be there because Scott Fenwick and Shola Ameobi aren’t upfront.

I saw this coming as per my prediction. You may as well stay at home and run the match through your head as it,s so predictable and I can,t see it changing, we are heading for trouble.

I saw all of Pools problems coming ten years ago and emigrated to avoid having to watch too many shite matches. This makes me very smug and the voice of authority on everything.

That said, yesterday was grim viewing. After 20 minutes or so their defence got to grips with what we were doing and that was that. Confirmed all the stuff that people on here have been saying about needing more creativity, pace and drive to attack in midfield. We didn't look a threat at all in the final third but the service to the strikers was poor. Couldn't believe that we persisted with long balls to James who had nowhere to go once he controlled them. Just had to wait for that big Sweeney to manhandle him out of the way and clear it.

Got carried away with the Gillingham performance and predicted a 3-1 win.
My glass was half full for seven days but that has proved that brain should always take precedence over heart where Pools are concerned.

We will never know if Cousins, Barnet's goalie, is any good as after his blunder he did not have a single shot to save.
