1-2 Pools, James with a long awaited goal and Noble with the other.

If we win this, This should be a stepping stone to where the club is going this season, Orient have lost 1 in 15 and if we win this and draw at Wrexham or win at Wrexham and draw against Orient then I would 100% believe we'l be in the playoffs come May.

Apologies it just a cut and paste job but this may be of interest.

"History books suggest that the choice of the name Orient came about at the behest of a player who was an employee of the Orient Shipping Company (later to be taken over by P&O)."

Any suggestions for Hartlepool......................Hartlepool Greggs?

I'd be delighted with a point here.

They don't seem to have a problem scoring and, for all I'm pleased with our progress so far this season, we're still conceding too many clear chances.

A comfortable home win.

Very happy with a point in a very tough away game, one gained rather than 2 dropped.

Decent point which I'd have taken before the game but a bit disappointed after they went down to 10 men. Thought the first half was very forgettable but came to life in the second,it's fair to say orient battered us with ten men without really creating many chances. We really lack some pace in the side and move the ball far to slowly, even with a man advantage they were pressing high and winning most the 50/50s. Thought the defence did really well under the pressure but the midfield and forwards were pretty lacklustre. Hawkes changed the game a bit for us and was linking up the attacks better and gave us an outlet. I think we are a left wing back and attacking midfielder away from being more threatening but at least we have stopped the constant downward spiral at last!. Man of match was Davies for me followed by kioso.

Good summary and agree about Hawkes. He showed more bravery on the ball, which would be my only criticism of the rest of the team. As often happens, going down to ten men galvanises the crowd and we came under a bit of pressure. We’d have crumbled last year.
Brilliant away trip, fans were superb.
Lastly shout out to Niko’s mum (attending first match) and sister joining in with his song!

I wasn't there so cant really comment, but I have said this before. I am impressed by the fact that Pools are getting other sides down to 10 or even 9 men, why is that? And the so called loose cannon Noble hasn't as much been booked yet never mind been sent off. He is fast becoming the Gordon Watson of this team.

I was there yesterday and I’ll give you one guess who was first in the refs face after the tackle went in

I could hear on the radio the boo's ringing out from the O's fans when Noble was subbed in the last five minutes. Seems to be a common occurrence these days and testament to his influence on our team. I also agree with the point made about how he has kept his discipline, there's no doubting he has been a great signing for Pools.

Looked really organised the first half and hard to break us down there was hardly a highlight to show, Right decision for their lad to get send off on the challenge on woodsy, But as soon as they got a man sent off they came at us more and could off got a goal or 2 but overall good defending and team shape, Only thing is I've noticed this a few times this season Liam Noble losing the ball on the halfway line or giving loose passes away and them coming onto us, He's a all round good footballer with aggression his strongest point same with woody there was no way woodsy was pulling out off that challenge that got their lad sent off, Just noble needs to improve his passing when he receives the ball from our defence he gives away to many loose balls then the opposition come straight on to us , I've seen him cost us a few goals this season Other than that if you would off said to me a point away against Orient I'd off snapped their hand off, I thought it would off been 2-3 nil to be honest anyway Good team Performance. Also a special mention to the 594 poolies there , 900 odd at Halifax on a Tuesday night, (including me) sorry had to get that in lol Also the support at Salford, Surely we have the best away support following in the league, Hats off poolies!!
