Since the Premier League took off :angelic-whiteflying: i have never really regarded it as part of the domestic structure due to the massive involvement of foreign money/owners and players so even though Pools are in the Bananarama League its still the old 4th division to me (glass half full!).

The Leeds owner has got a point as far as it goes - clubs in the Championship with a big fan base are always going to attract more viewers for live games than the like of Bournemouth.
It's not going to happen though - there's nothing in it for the half dozen clubs with a global fan base and they hold all the power.

The best thing that could happen to English football would be for them to naff off to a European 'super league' but there's no sign of that happening either.

That Leeds owner should concentrate on getting Leeds in the Premier League if he wants his nose in the trough.

League tables aren't relative to numbers of fans, hopefully never will be.

Leeds voted for the prem in the beginning, as did others. They thought they would always be involved as a "big club" so sod the rest of us. It is ironic that they are now whinging, simply because they are no longer part of it. If they had been ever presents in the prem they wouldn't give a toss about the championship clubs being "deprived". I'll give them some sympathy when the vast sums generated from subscriptions by ordinary fans of all football clubs are shared out a bit fairer and a lot further down the pyramid than happens now.
Basically they can piss off as far as I am concerned.
For the record, I don't subscribe to SKY because of the greed of the few.

Not forgetting the Spurs chairman at the time really pushing for it. Who of course owned the company contracted to make satellite dishes

if they were bottom of the division i,d like to bet there would be none of this shit coming from the owner. typical so called big club arrogance.
