Buy this Poolie vehicle or not?
Buy it, then drive it fast to antagonise the Fatman. 63%  63%  [ 5 ]

Just sold my Beetle so now I have the chance to buy one of these bad boys which will be fully restored over the winter by my brother in law Erik the viking.

Should I invest or am I just a bit too excited by the thought of this paint job?

Volvo P444 - built like a brick shithouse! Probably not too good an investment as you will be hard pushed to recoup the restoration cost if you sell it (unless Erik and his Viking hordes are just charging you for the parts and not the labour). Buy it, it's beautiful and should keep up with modern traffic okay. Also you'll probably never see another - especially the estate version.

now my cup of tea but beuty varies from one person to another. unless you use motorways keeping up with modern day traffic has never been easier due to roadworks and another new set of traffic lights installed.

Well spotted Mr Bossa, a Volvo Duett. You're right about the cost but luckily enough Erik has just retired and fancies something to do over the winter. Always liked VWs but these Scando vehicles are very nice indeed and half the price. He mentioned a P1800 but I'm no saint.
