Good mix on there particularly either side of Dimbleby. Ian Lavery (MP for Wansbeck) and Rees-Mogg. Such contrasting accents. After the show, Rees-Mogg, who Lavery during the show was calling him Jacub was heard having a tête-à-tête with Lavery and was saying “ howay, ian mate it was canny night we divvent want to end up having a scrap just ‘cos ave got more bairns than yea, howay marra lets have a pint maybe even a stoppy back and be mates eh?

So many Labour Supporters / MP's are unable to answer questions without spouting a whole load of shouty rhetoric as if it was from a pre defined speech, Lavery subjected the audience to this last night. I think he embarrassed himself in his contradictions.

A lot on the left think Ian Lavery is the best thing since sliced bread. I have never met the bloke, but my father knew him , and wasn't really keen on him, which was unusual, and my father was a good judge of character , especially of those involved in left wing politics.

Seems to me like a bit of a bully boy and likes sound of his own voice. He is one of our own, working class lad , basically true to his beliefs, though there was some concern once about his role in the disbanding of the Northumberland Miners Union. He just doesnt come across well for me, though most of his fans on the left like his aggressive style.

Agree, I know it’s not about accents and you are right but even with regional accents an MP should be able to put his points/views and opinions across much better than he did/does. You can just imagine him in a yard somewhere in front of the workforce trying to ‘loudly convince’ workers to walk out. JRM was probably inwardly smirking.

He comes across as an idiot shouting and can’t even say JRM name or referendum correctly.

Its a terrible smug staged managed show that does not allow any real cross examination of the pre-prepared questions and answers the panel spout.

If you want to know about the political/economic situation in the UK watch the likes of Andrew Marr,Laura Kuenssberg, Emily Maitles, John Snow or Cathy Newman slicing up our political representatives....................its great fun and is far more informative than "Question Time"

Thats my rant over......... now wheres my Clangers box set.

On a more serious note i see the UKIP leader Gerard Batten has given his blessing to Tommy Robinson joining the party in the future.
