Funny you should mention that, saw a woman with her teenage son who proceeded to eat two banana's out of the trolley. Passed him later and he was still scoffing them down. I hope he's as constipated as a boiled egg fed nun.

Usually dumped in an aisle, cooked chicken bags and bones strewn behind crisps etc and the little darlings in push chairs who eat their own body weight in ket.

And the free fruit is supposed to be for kids, not feckin adults banghead

I laugh when you see the samples of pork pies etc are on display on the deli counter and there's always someone who assumes the industrial size plate is an individual portion and indulges in nonsense conversation with the staff and order one slice of corned beef individually wrapped while doing an impression of an unfed scrapyard dog on the pieces of pie.

If they don,t pay for what they scoff before reaching the till they should be prosecuted and banned from the shop. They think they are untouchable and clever but they are just scum.

If bishop doesn’t post does it mean he hasn’t fed his dad?

When I moved to oxford from home my mate said he was going to Waitrose to buy some smokes and I asked him if that was a local newsagents. He looked at me like I was mad and couldn’t believe I never heard of one.

I think i can safely say Waitrose will never open a store in Hartlepool.

Coral odds 150/1

Not too boshed about that as it would be a sixty mile round trip for me to pick up my avocados, soya milk and quinoa

They sell all 3 in Aldi for a quarter of the price :ugeek:

and you can pick up a left handed screwdriver, a potty and enough shoddy clothing to make you stand out in Waitrose.

Waitrose, over priced but gives the people who use it a smug veneer.

That's understandable, Compo, as Waitrose, to my knowledge, are largely concentrated in the south. They have individual branches in places such as Edinburgh down to Cornwall but are not generally a regular sight. Being a version of Marks and Sparks, they would be an expensive shop if used for general food supplies but it is good fayre and as there is a branch next door to my local underground station, I admit to being tempted inside on the odd occasion!

Over priced and pretentious and a drive of 33.7 miles puts me off.
But they do excellent dog biscuits that i give to my neighbours hound.

When I used to travel a lot with work my expenses used to get used up in Waitrose.

Their service station shops are shit though compared to Marksies. You can get a proper bellyfull for a tenner in a Marksies, but in the Waitrose ones you'll be lucky to get a sausage roll and a bag of crisps.

One supermarket chain I hope expands further is Booths. There's quite a few in the north west, lakes, and they've got a few in Yorkshire as well now.

Sell loads of high quality stuff like Waitrose but without the high prices, and have a superb range of decent beers.
