How is it we kick off before most European leagues and they manage to include a winter break and finish around the same time yet we still claim to have a more congested fixture list?

Aye it soon comes round, like most things. The older you get the quicker things come round, I can assure you of that.

Pools have pretty much had a 3 month break so I'm looking forward to getting back on the Mill House terraces for Harrogate Town next Tuesday night. TV footie can wait!

The overlap with cricket is ridiculous now they have to shoe horn in all the short format competitions and will be even worse in 2020 when the 100 ball nonsense starts. The County Championship finishing in late September devalues it massively. I agree with most of what this article has to say about cricket (but not the politics):
